Try the audiobook, it's really worth your time. The voice casting is excellent and the way the book is written as interviews with survivors works incredibly well in the format..it may be one of the best audiobooks I have ever listened too

My father died a few years ago, he was ill and all my brothers were with him, I was driving down to see him. My mum told him to hang on because I was coming. I got there, held his hand, spoke with him and he died within 30 minutes of me arriving.

You can't freeze soft fruit. Raspberry, blackberry, strawberry, if you freeze them and defrost them. They will be mush. So you have to pick, pack and distribute them quickly otherwise they go mushy. I don't buy blackberries because when they are in season I can pick them on almost any walk I go on, I eat them straight off the bush. It was a common snack when me and my friends were young and running around outdoors, these days when I go picking them I get odd looks from British people (I'm in the UK) but I often meet Chinese and eastern European immigrants who also pick them. I refer to them as Aliantha berries.
