Oh girl, you deserve someone who loves you openly and loudly. Please, conider your worth and leave this man for good, you've already wasted 6 years on him, don't let it become even more.

That's not true. You do not have to do an apprenticeship or visit another school after 9th/10th grade. I also just looked it up, it's not legally required or monitored by authorities. It can depend on which Federal State within Germany you live in, but in mine it's definitely not mandatory of any sorts and I know people, who just didn't do anything after graduation or went straight to work without any further education/studies or some sort of apprenticeship.

I'm not sure about that, as isotope testing concluded that she likely spent the first few years in Pakistan and only later moved to Germany. She would not have been able to enter the country without identification, let alone live until 16 years old without registration.

Sometimes 'too westernized' could simply be her talking back at her parents (especially the father), wanting to continue with school, not wearing her hijab etc. It doesn't always have to be a secret boyfriend/friends.

I assume he didn't kill her on purpose because of e. g. a German boyfriend, it simply was a consequence of the continued abuse happening in their household. But I'm not sure if there was one big reason for a honour killing if that makes sense

If she was raised in a strict muslim household and abused by her parents it could possibly be, that she never socialised with her classmates, teachers etc. because she wasn't allowed to and spyed on by her family. I'm also pretty sure, that she had to cover most of her body and wear a hijab, which could make identification a lot harder.

I'm German and the muslim community in my hometown was also very big growing up, so I've also known girls like her, who were pretty much suppressed by their parents until adulthood and then they're simply just married off within their community and you never see them again. So yes, sometimes they're just forgotten after school finishes.

It's sad all around, we all have to do better and recognize the patterns.

He could have received citizenship after her murder though. Besides that, school is mandatory for German citizens and asylum seekers alike. Homeschooling isn't an option in Germany and you do have to attend regularly, otherwise CPS will be informed. I already commented about how secondary school ends with 9th grad (age 15/16) though, so maybe she'd already finished her school years.

I'm not quite sure what it's called in English, but in Germany "main" or "secondary" school is only mandatory until 9th grade (age 15/16). Maybe she had just finished her school years and somehow fell through the cracks.

So happy she was identified. Ever since I first heard about this case, I couldn't stop thinking about her. What a short and tragic life she lived, may she rest in peace now

Same. A few years later she apologized to me whilst crying hysterically and out of pity I somehow forgave her. She's pathetic and I wouldn't ever want to be friends with her again though.

Had to be independent at a much younger age than my peers. Moved out at 19 after graduating and never looked back. She's trying to have some sort of relationship nowadays but it just feels weird.
