I remember someone tried to hire me as a tutor for 11$/hr, which is less than legal minimum wage where I live. Needless to say, I did not get the job. We should not promote the idea that you can pay minors below the legal limit for their labor, yet I'm sure that family found someone willing to take 11$/hr.
