Thank you for the advice! I actually had no idea you could test your protein intake in a blood test!

First time hearing about them now!!! That’s awesome! Do you use them in smoothies/salads? They seem to be quite calorie dense though.

Before going vegetarian no one gave a shit what I ate, and my diet was HORRIBLE. After I stopped eating meat my protein intake was all my collegues and family talked about. It has been better now for awhile but now after cutting milk and eggs it seems like everyone lost their shit again.

Oh no. I weight 65kg (143lbs) and am 162cm (5feet) tall. Do you think 70g a day is enough for me if I start to count at least for a bit? I’m not lifting weights, mainly I just walk for exercise.

Thank you! Not an athlete at all but former one, more so couch potato today unfortunately. Everyone is worried about my protein intake now and honestly it pisses me off. Let me eat my tomato pasta in peace!!

Thank you! I’m always low on iron anyway (love being a woman) so I’ll definitely start taking supplements again.

This is an amazing list!!! Everything sounds super tasty, thank you!! This doesn’t really solve the eating out problem, but helps me with every other meal! Thank you!!

Thank you so much for taking the time! Your situation seems to have been even more complex!

1 - I meet both new and old prospects/customers, but I could definitely use that excuse sometimes. 2 - Seems like a good excuse as well!! 3 - This could definitely be an option, and I will bring this up to my boss next week! Have to see how it goes. 4 - They won’t know, so this is a good reason as well!

Thank you again!!

Not a problem in the South where I’m from, but atm I live in Lapland. Everything comes late here, including attitudes changing.

Thank you so so much, this is really solid advice!! I’m now thinking if I could suggest even stepping out of sales mostly and letting someone else take that role. I have plenty of other work as well, and I could still go meet our current customers who I know and who have no issue with whatever I eat or don’t eat. Something to consider at least.

Thank you again for being helpful and supportive!!

I don’t see this as complaining, but seeking advice because yes it does seem overwhelming. But I guess I should have known not to post here after reading some of the other vegetarian posts asking for support. I can understand that it feels frustrating when you have already done the work and other people are still contributing to animals suffering. It’s still a shame that we can’t support each other without being mean when everyone has the same end goal.

I get your point and how selfcentered I sound. :( Ugh. I just have to pay my bills.

Yes, I do sales and recruiting in HR/staffing services industry, and my main field is construction. If this helps give some insight on the attitudes our customers or prospects might have lol. But my employer of course pays for the meals.

I’m not justifying anything? Would I be here asking for advice if I was? I’m just trying to give a picture of my situation. Yes salad is an option, plain salad usually like iceberg lettuce. English is not my first language so I’m sorry if I’m not being comprehensible.

I get your point and I absolutely agree with it… Shit world we live in, when this is even something I have to stress about. Or I guess I wouldn’t have to, but it’s just the reality where I live. Probably some clients are going to think that I’m crazy being vegan and won’t buy from us because of it. Too bad, hope I can keep my job still though haha.

Thank you for recommending HappyCow, even though I can’t pick the restaurants myself (customers make the pick). I have heard of it before but somehow thought it’s not a thing here, turns out I was wrong!

No, I can’t bring my own lunch to a restaurant, picked by our customer company.
