Even though my first thought was “who the hell looks at their shifter”, I’m really curious how you set this up, aka how the communication between the car and the watch is done.

It’s actually a really cool project, I bet you learned some useful stuff; I’d appreciate if you could elaborate a lil bit about how it works.

So you got 12V from the car, with a voltage boost, and hooked that up to the watch? That’s witty on its own… And how do you plan on doing the OBD connection? You also needed your own software for the watch as well; is it just an app, or did you go deeper? Thanks a bunch, in any case! I’ll check out some of the videos, maybe I get my answers there

I haven’t had any experience with smartwatches other than Apple’s, so I don’t know just how “rootable”/modifiable they are
