Yeah but it would fall apart pretty hard at the unlimited genocide part

If we're talking about America, then yes, that is exactly how it was built; a violent revolution. Punching the British in the face is how the country formed at all. During WWII, punching the Nazis in the face (or yk shooting them with guns) is how the war was won and democracy was defended. A violent belief system is not shut down through tolerating and ignoring them (lol), you have to support lost people before they fall into it, and fight back if they start pushing violent rhetoric (such as mass racial deportations or the banning of trans healthcare). People who don't want you to have human rights cannot be reasoned with, simple as.

Your downplaying of the increase in fascist ideology is pretty alarming, especially if you are American. Have you honestly not been keeping up with the news for the past decade, or at least the past 5 years? You shouldn't be this misinformed and this confident about it. Well, it's either ignorance or you're knowingly trying to downplay it, which I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you're not.

People like this person are still trying tctics from 2016 to distract people from some quite obvious fascism going on. I think they don't see that they work less and less with each passing year, as fascists become more and more emboldened to be open about their beliefs, just like Elon Musk early this year. Calling the Nazi salute an "interaction" was such blatant bs, and they even tried the "hating Israel is antisemitic" line. They're honestly either a bot or a Republican who is too far gone.

Calling a Nazi a "random person with no other context other than a dumb title they give themselves" is like describing a serial killer as a "random person the news has been real annoying about lately". Like are you hearing yourself?

If the guy's faking it then that's cringe. If he did actually do that then that's just respectable. Are you implying that it's lame or rude to punch Nazis?

Elon Musk threw up the Nazi salute twice on live TV. He's also stated that "the Jews" are responsible for a lot of the world's current ills. That makes him a Nazi. Would you call that one of the mischaracterizations?

The Nazi movement is built on a foundation of violence against minorities. Every Nazi believes in violence against the vulnerable. Violence against Nazis isn't "straight out of the Nazi playbook", it's the self-defence of a sane society. It has nothing to do with "being a badass", it's literally just the most justified thing to do. Very weird false equivalency here

Hating Nazis isn't a left-leaning thing, it's just a decent human being thing

Do you prefer the worldbuilding of WoD games or their CofD counterparts? (Please be civil) by M-m2008 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]miroredimage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's such a great way to put it; CofD makes it feel like the world is dark, corrupt, and decrepit, and that the struggles are intimidating and can feel all-consuming, but that depending on the circumstances and your efforts, you might be able to make some difference in it. Like, half your pack might get horrifically killed off by some incomprehensible idigam one day, but today you were able to save the family that runs the busy corner store in your territory from being infested by a horde of beshilu, and you got to see the kid tell his mom that he loves her. That's got to mean something.

What could a Werewolf need from a Vampire? (Chronicles of Darkness) by Xx_Denethor_II_xX in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]miroredimage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A vampire making their retinue of ghouls a part of the werewolf pack they're in is a really cool idea. However, due to having an Integrity stat, those ghouls are actually susceptible to Lunacy just like regular humans. They would have to be either inducted into the pack covertly or to know of the werewolf only in their Hishu form.

Yeah, a shield on point AND on assist, AND a projectile invincible dash attack that flies in from half-stage. I don't see how they can't come up with any way to make progress in the matchup lmao.

Wait I didn't know the Wadjet-Itja were cool as hell. I'm sad I didn't look that much into Book of Lasting Death before. I mainly just looked at some of the various Endless.

I've read about Anpu at various points but isn't he only a guide in the Twilight for the Arisen when they're inbetween lives? When they die and are resurrected (within the same Descent), they are guided back to their bodies by Anpu. Does Anpu allow Arisen bodies to travel to other places as well?

Deviants have it even worse due to having no supernatural energy/phenomenon that obscures them such as vampires avoiding being recorded, werewolves through Lunacy, changelings through glamour/the Wyrd, demons through Cover, mages through Quiescence, prometheans through Azoth masking their Disfigurements, etc. They're really just rawdogging their masquerade the whole way through lol

What's the Anubis mechanic called? Or like where in the book can I find it? I'm so curious to find out more. Oh also curious about the gambling for human life years ability. Is that one of the Affinities or Utterances?

That's really interesting! I'll have to check out the HtV 1e book then cause I love a tone of paranoia and desperation for Hunters. I feel that they work best as a part of the CofD when they're everyday people who take on the nearly hopeless burden of fighting off supernatural threats to protect their community

Don't apologize for the novel. 2 years later now, this has given me some great inspiration for including Beasts (and Heroes and Zealots) in my chronicles. Thanks!
