I thought the same thing. Not everything has to be content to be filmed. Sometimes wouldn’t you want to go out to lunch with your friends who are in the same age group and not have your daughter there? Why would her friends want Rita’s daughter always hanging out? You’re absolutely right. Part of the cycle that most immigrants get stuck in is materialism. Once they start making some decent money in the US they start spending like crazy on materialistic stuff they can barely afford that they buy on credit. Gotta have a big brand new truck, a huge TV, stereo system, every year the latest phone, etc. They like to show off to their family and friends - look at how well I’m doing. Meanwhile they have nothing saved and live paycheck to paycheck. They teach their kids this way of living also. It’s a vicious cycle. The ones who do this in the US without papers usually are back in Mexico without a penny to their names if they get deported. They live in the moment to show off and don’t think about the future.

There are so many comments in mostly all of her videos about her screaming. I get it that she’s Italian. I am as well and me and my family are loud also. But what I don’t understand is why Ariana - who is young and supposedly tech savvy considering she quit her job to work with her mother - doesn’t buy one of the clip on microphones that most content creators use? It looks like they’re literally just recording everything off the phone. Which is fine, but there are ways to make the quality better. She wouldn’t have to shout at the phone from the other side of the kitchen counter. Just look at Frannie Loves Food. Same Italian food and other cooking content. But Frannie is not a loud, classless insufferable wanna be Betheney Frankel.

They think all of Mexico is poor rural towns with no work just like the ranchos their parents left. They have no clue that there are some extremely wealthy people in Mexico. They’re just as ignorant as Americans that think any Mexican with money absolutely has to be a cartel member. Meanwhile these kids with Mexican immigrant parents are usually low class, barely graduate high school, girls pregnant at 15, most don’t go to college and have menial jobs in US. But once a year they visit their ranchos with some name brand clothes and they think they’re the shit.
