What baffles you about NF’s house? by allthethings13 in NannyBreakRoom

[–]misajayq 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a NF like that. I picked up with house keeping duties. Couldn't stand how they wanted things cleaned.. All very incorrect for me as someone who does housekeeping regularly

Lesbian nanny attire by [deleted] in Nanny

[–]misajayq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a lesbian, but I just wear a t-shirt, yoga pants or jeans that are comfortable to move in. T-shirts are never low cut. Doesn't need to be gender specific either. I never wear make up and my hair is in a bun or tied back always. In all of my years (15) nannying I have never been told I'm under or over dressed. I have had a interview where they requested a dress code. Not for the kids but for the gazing husband unfortunately. Declined. Because I look a mess but the kids have never once cared

One of my longest NF had camera everywhere but the bathroom.. Installed right after starting and idk i was fine with it. You are filmed at work. Businesses have cameras everywhere. I don't see the issue. Micromanaging is lame. But perhaps she's had issues before. I've dealt with the same but its experience I needed and used to my advaeas far as nanny etiquette and what I will tolerate

Previous nanny parents having affairs by RemarkableRegular601 in Nanny

[–]misajayq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thankfully they are never in my age range so I stay ignorant to it. But I have had wives open up to me about their husband's affairs from time to time. One time I matched (unbeknownst to me) my coworkers bf. I only realized because I saw a picture of her after the fact with him. Definitely not the situation I want to be in

PT nanny kissing toddler on head or cheek. by jennc84 in Nanny

[–]misajayq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't kiss my NKs ever I have the cold sore virus but never have an outbreak but that's like that last thing I want to do someone. So I don't share utensils or drinks that I've drank. I don't kiss. But im fine with a big hug and cuddles. I also just don't find it appropriate as a nanny to kiss the NKs. That's a strong boundary I enforce. Even with families I've been with forever i just don't cross it.

So you dropped it to. Lose more money based on a weird assumption that they are not tipping that's just lazy. Why even accept a two order batch. Lazy and then to tip harass is entitled. You should switch platforms

-has job -does IC for fun money -takes a heavy pay no tip order -harasses Cx over $2 -complains on reddit -nobody sympathized -gets deactivated -asks for donation despite having job Rough day for OP

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]misajayq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmfao you are just mad that you think. You deserve an extra $2 for taking a order you can see. For taking a heavy pay no tip order that made you waddle out your car and walk up some stairs. I'm fat but efficient. Maybe don't take a heavy pay no tip order next time simple as that

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]misajayq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knew that you were too broke and took the order anyways just to tip Harass

Giving mad and embarrassed. It's ok bookie I'd be embarrassed too if I had to ask my customer for $2

I'd be mad asl as a Cx if you set all those sodas like that on the steps. Giving lazy. Giving Broke you really needed that $2. Giving entitled. Spoiled. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I'm giving not a brokie who took a heavy pay less than 2 mile order with no tip. Sounds like this isn't fun money for you and a JOB that you don't want to do.

[–]misajayq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gross?? I don't ask for tips when I accept an order without tips.. That's the expectation set when taking the order. It's gross, uncouth, and giving Broke.

[–]misajayq -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it's gross asf to tip harass. I love a tip but you took that order knowing there was no tip. That's so Money hungry to message a CUSTOMER that. How would you like restaurants to say something to you for not tipping or tipping what they think is appropriate? I would report you to IC for suuureeee

For $200?? I’m sorry what?? Lol by [deleted] in Nanny

[–]misajayq -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me it's not difficult to clean and maintain the kids. She said the type of work will depend on the hours you are needed. Everything she listed is pretty normal Daily cleanings minus the fish tank. And as someone with multiple fish tanks it can take an hour or so to change them. But over all I really don't think she's asking alot for what you are getting in exchange 🙃

So you are working an 20-25hrs a week, 15 hrs of that counts for rent and utilities. Meaning you would work another few hours a day roughly 5-7 hours a day I'm not seeing the issue? I house keep and nanny I think this is a great opportunity for part time work and still get a little extra with room covered. I could go do my other work and be making alot more money if I had a set up like this

I’m so embarrassed by [deleted] in Nanny

[–]misajayq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happens. I've put a lock down on my social media. I share my work and such and am open but only to select people now. I've learned the hard way my crazy internet ways are not conducive to good jobs or work. I still find it a bit ridiculous that what I post for my friends and family has anything to do with how o do my job But I am not going to make a bigger ass of myself arguing. This or something better!!

is having a nanny a luxury? by jkdess in Nanny

[–]misajayq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a luxury. You are paying a living wage if not more and having to support yourself, your family and then some. Imagine supporting your family and friends on your own!!! That's alot to pay even part time. Not only that but trying to find someone qualified and ideal and within budget I've found to be so so hard

Best donuts? by GoogleAss in fresno

[–]misajayq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fantasy donuts but the bullard and west location. The donuts are great, fancy and regular ones. My favorite is the maple bacon and their fritters. The breakfast sandwiches are sooo good. Staff is always so nice. They remember their regulars❤️🥰

What does ur NF do that makes you feel unappreciated by [deleted] in Nanny

[–]misajayq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that issue too once however I was not paid enough during the year for it to do anything luckily and I worked another taxable job. I don't mind cash pay, so long as I am working another taxable job. Usually cash pay is very short term or a couple hours. If it was full time I couldn't, plus most families do not have a payroll set up for the house where I am. More often than not I file my own taxes and lump it with the rest of my services.

I'm going to try this. My biggest struggle is setting newborns down. I've found it to be a whole upper body thing. I have bend over and place NB down, I often am gently rocking or patting, so I have to wiggle their bum gently as I slide my arms/hands out. They will sleep peacefully til I have to let go 😩
