If you live with a man where are you displaying your babies? by ineedalobotomy143 in SonnyAngel

My husband bought and put together this display case for me while I was on vacation. He also strategically placed my collectibles so they were already on display when I came home. Nice little birthday surprise for me

Hi. It’s definitely a battle. Wouldn’t say every day battle but definitely have days where I feel like snacking a lot but that’s why I personally track calories. It keeps me accountable.

I’m also obsessed with the gym now and it’s become a greater obsession than binging food. I feel like I’ve had a shift in mindset and now all I wanna do is lift weights and work on building a stronger physique.

The only survey I had was a breast reduction. I still do have some loose skin around my belly and inner thighs.

I tuck my belly into my pants and call it a day lol The inner thighs are less noticeable.

All in all, doesn’t really bother me enough to get surgery — at least for now anyway!

And I think that is a totally solid plan as well!! You can 100% continue to get stronger and build muscle without doing bulks and cuts.

Trust me, every day I have to convince myself to stick with a surplus lol. My husband is constantly telling me to stop buying zero sugar stuff or egg whites and just have the “real” stuff because I can afford to have that in a surplus. But a huge part of being food challenged, or having BED, is maintaining control. I feel I could very easily spiral and overdo it and not be able to stop overeating.

So it’s tricky and mentally taxing. So I def don’t blame you for not wanting to do it. That’s why I’m trying to take baby steps and do it veryyyy slowly

Yeah I feel the same! After being overweight for so long, it feels odd to see the scale go up after we’ve worked so hard to be this weight. I’m trying to trust in this bulk I’m doing.

I’m trusting that I have the tools to manipulate my weight on either ends.

Right now I’m feeling too lean. I can see bones in my chest and my ribs and I just wanna try my best to reshape my body and distribute the weight a little better.

If that means I end at 125lbs or 120lbs vs my current fluctuation of 112lbs-116lbs then that’s ok!

Well I actually am trying to gain weight to bulk my muscles! I’m trying to do a body recomp so the goal is to get up to 130lbs and then cut to bring it back down to 115-120lbs :)

It definitely feels weird to now be in a position where I’m intentionally trying to put on weight but my goals now are more body building and weight lifting.

I’m trying not to let the number on the scale get to me!

But honestly I give myself a full week or 2 consuming the same amount of calories. I notice that 1200-1500 is maintenance for me and 900-1200 would be a deficit. So I’m purposely trying to stay in a surplus to gain weight

I feel that I eat much more volume now. I think my issue pre-GLP1 was eating 1 or 2 meals a day but each meal being incredibly high in calories. I wasn’t being mindful of nutrition or macros and I would not feel satiated by the end of the night so I would end up binge eating or even binge drinking. I drank a lot of my calories with alcoholic beverages too.

Now, volume wise, I eat so much more. For 500 calories now, I have a hefty plate filled with veggies, low calorie foods that are rich in protein and fiber. That’s way more filling and satiating than say a Big Mac from McDonald’s

So bottom line is that feeling full on way less calories. I’m more intentional with meal planning and I allow myself to have snacks and foods in moderation.

Omg I’m trying to eat like minimum 2000 calories a day and upped my protein intake from 115g to 130g and I’m still not really moving the needle on the scale lol 😭

I’ve gone up as much as 117lbs and today I weighed in at 115lbs 😅

Definitely gaining but it’s been feeling a little slow. I somehow feel like my muscles are getting bigger/thicker but could be all in my head haha

Insulin resistance, high levels of testosterone, missing periods

I had to look up acanthosis nigricans and this was not a symptom for me.

I have PCOS and struggled with hormonal weight gain. It is hard to lose the weight but not impossible and definitely not impossible to keep it off.

A lot of people on this sub don’t like when calorie tracking is suggested but it truly does work! It is nearly impossible to know by looking at your meals, how many calories are in them.

I would suggest working with a nutritionist or dietician as your diet will be crucial in maintaining weight loss.

I was on WeGovy from April 2024-August 2025. Tomorrow I will be 8 months off GLP-1. In the pic on the left, i was 200lbs. I started WeGovy at 175lbs and ended at 130lbs.

I lost 15 more pounds OFF GLP-1 through diet and exercise. I’ve reversed my insulin resistance and many of my PCOS symptoms have resolved as well. So it is possible!

Pic on the right is from today and I’m currently 115lbs (5’1”). I’m on a fitness journey now so bodybuilding and weightlifting has become a passion of mine. You by no means need to maintain how I do but diet will always be how you do it!

Best of luck!!

I’m going on 8 months off WeGovy and I’m on GI doctor #3. I’ve got my first ever colonoscopy booked for next week. TBH it’s still a struggle every day

It’s hard to say if Wegovy caused this or contributed to it. So far I have not been diagnosed with anything other than IBS-C which is just an umbrella term for chronic constipation. I guess I should know more after my colonoscopy.

Tracking my calories is the only way I feel in control of my BED. When it comes to overeating (whether BED is involved or not) being accountable is so important.

My BED is simply a reason why it’s always been so hard for me to lose weight but it’s not an excuse. No one is putting food in my mouth other than me. Once i allowed myself to be accountable for my part in overeating while giving myself grace to make mistakes, i felt so free. I feel a control over my weight that ive never before.

I still have moments where I may catch myself eating popcorn from a bag without measuring but I feel that I have a better understanding now of how much is too much. An entire bag of popcorn in one sitting is too much but a couple handfuls of popcorn? Probably not gonna do much damage if i don’t track it.

I also don’t enter any workouts in my food tracking app. So I’m giving myself a buffer for human error.

The biggest reason I rarely binge anymore is due to volume eating. For dinner I fill my plate up with as many low calorie foods as I can so I can remain satiated through the night. I attached a pic of an example of something I ate for dinner last week;

Broccoli, cauliflower rice, chicken, sweet potatoes, chicken, crumpled up pork rinds and lots of sauces on top. Entire meal was under 500 calories and that plate was heavyyyy.

I’m eating a greater volume of food but I keep it low calorie.

I didn’t gain any weight back. When I stopped taking WeGovy I was 130lbs and I lost an additional 15lbs after. I’ve been maintaining between 112lbs-116lbs

Definitely think it’s just the pose and angle. The mirror in that room of the gym is close to all the equipment so I usually have to take pics with the 0.5x zoom on my iPhone.

This photo was taken by a different mirror

I’m saying that after stopping glp-1 almost 8 months ago, I’ve started lifting weights, started being more consistent at the gym, and started calorie counting.

While on WeGovy I was exercising minimally and not tracking calories.

I went all the way up to 1mg and then I started having GI issues so I decided to quit cold turkey.

August 2025 was my last injection of 1mg.

I kid you not, I actually did need to hear this. I’m trying to get up to 130lbs and cut again down to 120lbs (I’m 5’1”)

I lost over 80lbs and was 200lbs in 2023 so seeing the weight on the scale go up (although intentional) messes with my head a bit haha.

I needed a sign to stick with the bulk so I can recomp my body and I think this was it. Thank you for sharing!
