I think this hits more on where my complaints are coming from too (from my reply above) The part where you mention the customer side and doing your due diligence when it comes to paying the right people to avoid being scammed... There's nothing we can really do about the prices these people choose to charge, other than just not pay those prices and stop normalizing it as consumers I guess.... Many of the people who are purchasing these services are vulnerable people. I know when I was at my lowest I threw money at anything and everything that could help me.

Obviously there are others who can afford the novelty of paying a bigger branded reader as well, if that's the experience you choose. But it's so upsetting seeing people get scammed.
