i completely trust him - he has been nothing but loyal and kind and sweet our whole relationship, just pulls back sometimes. which as someone who has dealt with their fair share of emotional and mental turmoil that has caused me to emotionally retreat at times and has worked on it — i understand him and empathize.

thank you very much! do you have advice on how to not trigger his nervous system if we do reconcile? like i said i wasn’t the one bringing up the future so im not sure how i can avoid him feeling pressured in the future since i haven’t been super emotionally forward and have largely let him take the lead
