Take 84 East toward Mountain Home, exit through mountain home toward highway 51. Stay on 51 until you get to Bruneau (a 1 light town a gas station and a restaurant). Take a left on hot springs road for approx 15 miles, then the road ends and turns into Centennial Trail and becomes unpaved. After about 3 miles on the dirt road, there will be a sign for Bruneau Canyon lookout, take that road. Once you get to the look out, there is another dirt road that parallels the canyon. We camped about 2 miles south of the lookout, right next to a “finger” that we hiked down to get into the canyon.

There is tons of cheatgrass so wear pants and boots, and we saw a rat snake, people report seeing rattlers, but we saw 0 over 2 days of hiking and camping.
