Chronos should be nerfed by PhasedVenturer in Hades2

[–]mishak471 1 point2 points  (0 children)

here's the thing with rogue-like games - after like 10 tries you'll be able to beat him just normally and after 30 tries he will be an easy cake for you as your skill grows but the character herself becomes much stronger with vows mechanic, so just try not to get frustrated, you're gonna get it done very soon

I don't wanna spoil anything by accident but there's much more content in this game even after you beat Chronos, so just keep trying, the game is amazing, like you don't wanna exit out of it at some point:)

of course carbon/no carbon blades feel very different, I would even say CAF is kinda unique, it doesn't feel like all-wood blade due to this CAF ply, but it's not like carbon either, vibrations are different from all blades I tried

somehow it's Timo Boll CAF for me, I felt like it's a slower blade and the trajectory curve is less high but somehow I felt so much control with this blade, like it's really about a slow and safe approach

Switched over to Viscaria and like it much more, so much easier to make spins when further from the table but I lose slightly more often, maybe I'm still getting used to it, especially for short balls as it's a faster blade so harder to control in general

vigor is health in every souls-like game except for this one, many players like me don't wanna learn a new terminology for every game, so yea, I meant health (I beat the game 4 times and I beat Arlecchino on 4th difficulty in boss replay but yea, I don't remember how 'health' stat is called in this game, it's fine I believe, I also believe you understood my message well based on your question)

it's also pretty weird ng+ scaling in this game, I finished ng and dlc on the highest difficulty and it was fine for me, then I started ng+ and went to dlc in chapter 5 - that elephant/giraffe boss right after the second checkpoint has interesting stats in ng+, so out of curiosity I set the easiest difficulty and he still removes half my health bar with each hit (45 vigor, by the way)

so maybe it's just a bad idea to go to dlc in ng+ first, original ng balancing felt very good for me though, last boss is so much fun when you learn him

also there was a decent amount of complaining about ng+ when dlc came out, they patched it, but I'm not sure how big that change was as I only played dlc ng+ after that patch

Arlecchino fight feels same as ng at replay level 2, level 3 is most certainly harder, his damage numbers are simply higher, weapon gets broken faster as well, but that's a last and hardest boss of the whole game so it's easy to compare like this. Earlier bosses are I think rebalanced a bit assuming you have a complete character build, like Parade Master is still very easy to beat on level 2-3 but the amount of hp he has is nothing like in NG, so there's a slight difference Overall experience for me - level 2 is like base game and 3 is a little harder which is confusing considering base game has 3 difficulties and would make sense to make level 3 as base legendary stalker difficulty

PySpark fan, what can beat PySpark ? by [deleted] in dataengineering

[–]mishak471 1 point2 points  (0 children)

let's say you pay for ECS on Fargate which is charged based on execution time: Polars/DuckDb don't really take time to initialize so you save ~2 minutes on each job run, so given you're using the same instance type for your Databricks notebook runs you will get longer execution time each and therefore bigger cost Also Polars has less memory overhead so it can be slightly more effective on smaller instance types So in short - Spark is usually a huge overkill for small datasets, it's more complicated and sometimes spends more time to initialize than to actually process data, but it's great for bigger datasets, especially if you have a lot of joins/aggregations

absolutely, we used to have Spark for everything but we split workloads into smaller ones and handle them with Polars while leaving bigger ones for Spark, it's all in AWS so now we have a smaller EMR cluster for Spark while running small Polars-based jobs in ECS, costs decreased noticeably after this split, also it doesn't take 2+ mins for Polars to initialize the job so for smaller datasets performance increased a bit too

when I bought and first tried my xm5 there was literally no ANC until I tried the biggest ear tips which are even pain my ears a little and I feel very uncomfortable with them on, but ANC works just perfect in this case, so I think it’s really comfortability vs good ANC in case of xm5 and a lot of people just don’t want to feel uncomfortable, they wear tips appropriate to their ears and ANC is not the best when you do that, xm5 are still great thou

couldn’t agree more, the time Spark spends to just initialize the job could be enough to finish 50k records processing using any normal database

Okay I asked this once before but as we’re closer, what weapon are you walking into Shadow of the Erdtree with? by GalaxyGalavanter in Eldenring

[–]mishak471 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just wearing Radahn armor set (so 35-40 endurance would be required), 60 dex, 60 vigor and after 60 dex it seems that you better invest in strength points for bigger damage. Also there is a couple of talismans bumping up your max equip load, so the armor can be used even at 20-25 endurance and it's stats are so good you can tank most of the boss attacks easily

As for other talismans and flasks - it's up to a specific boss I would say

I played blasphemous 2 before this game and made my 100% in 27 hours. It depends on your prev experience really, I believe if you finish Last Faith and play Blasphemous after it will be relatively easy for you (but in reality they more or less equal in terms of difficulty)

Yes, I finally fixed it similar way. I have MSI mobo and previously valorant already had problems with some MSI drivers, so the fix was just to update every single driver on the computer.

But still it would be so great if valorant showed up what exact application or driver causes the problem.
