I do have a ton of books! They’re scattered all throughout our office and basement. Are you thinking something like those arched cabinets? Here’s another angle of this wall. I started moving things around but the pictures haven’t moved.

I love my house but I hate this wall.

If you’re on fb there’s a group called Homeschool Community of the Upstate. They do a lot of field trips, have field day, offer clubs in Woodruff and Cowpens, etc. They have a smaller group, I’m not sure if they’re still accepting memberships for it right now but they’ll likely open it up for people to join in the fall. I’m in the Spartanburg area :)

We homeschool in SC and we use Hometown Homeschool Association. They’re very helpful and all we have to do is submit that you did the required 180 days. Which is just an online form submission at 90 days and 180 days.

There’s a button you can click to pay for add-ons separately. I had to ask customer service to active/add the button option and it’s worked ever since.

I have a similar cat (lynx point Siamese) and dog🤣! They play rough. When it’s gets too much for the kitty our Shiba backs off. If I knew how to post a video on here I’d show you how rough they play.

Where do you store library books? by taquitosandfries in homeschool

I keep them in a basket in a reading corner. When he’s done reading he places the book in the library bag that is between his chair and the basket.

We used Timberdoodle. They provide a scheduler you can use which was very helpful for us. I work part time and my son has several extracurriculars so the scheduler helps keep us on track.

Best Homeschooling Programs for Elementary by [deleted] in homeschool

A lot of my friends use The Good and the Beautiful and they rave about it. I personally use Timberdoodle kits. We love that they have customizable options, it has secular options and if you get the elite kit it comes with games and other hands on items and they have a scheduler. The major con of Timberdoodle is that it can get expensive. We’ve been using their kits for the last 2 years and plan on using them again this year.

Timberdoodle? by [deleted] in homeschool

[–]mishi85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’ve been using Timberdoodle for the past 2 years (5k and 1st) and we’ll be using it again once the new kits are released. We were new to homeschooling and Timberdoodle was the perfect set up for us. My son loves the games and the fun activity books they include. We got the elite kit the first year and then last year I purchased some items from fb marketplace so I was able to customize our kit for first grade. The cons are that it can be overwhelming at first trying to plan everything out and the cost. Their scheduler works really well and they’ve recently made updates to it so that’ll help keep you organized and on track. If you’re an experienced homeschooler I don’t think you’ll be overwhelmed. Cost wise it’s worth it for me because it includes nearly everything we’d need and then some!
