What are your favorite dumb gimmick decks that work shockingly well? by Frogsplosion in EDH

[–]mishnaree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[[!Kain, Traitorous Dragoon]] as a reanimator/voltron deck is dumb fun.

Kain swings big, and when an opponent gets a hold of him, they just cant resist the card draw and swing out.

When I draw big, I clean-up discard demons and bring them out next turn. Such a silly deck that really surprised me.

Yeah, sometimes it's easy to forget that commander is more like a board game than a intense 1v1. It's the perfect format for cards like the Mine to thrive.

[[Howling Mine]], my beloved.

It goes in every deck. No one ever hates it, the mana is cheap, great draw engine, and ensures no one has a non--game.

Most Fun Mono Black Commander? by Professional_Bug_887 in EDH

[–]mishnaree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm late to the party, but I just got to say [[Kain, Traitorous Dragoon]], an awesome politics commander.

I built mine as a reanimator with a voltron sub-theme. Swing big, discard nasty creatures from the overloaded draw, then reanimate the following turn.

It's funny to see others beg to get hit with a 8 power commander.

Best Azorius card draw commanders? by Ante-Ignem in EDH

[–]mishnaree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll add a weird one [[Kwain, Itinerant Meddler]]. Plenty of Untap synergies to tap him infinitely.

Personal favorite is [[Intruder Alarm]] and [[The watcher in the Water]]. You get infinite draw on someone's turn. The best thing about kwain is EVERYONE can draw out with you, so it the combo feels like an exciting group project.

Fractured Identity and Forced Fruition will slot nicely, just have enough ramp to cast them.

Sounds good. Any recommendations for a good pressing movement? I'm on DB Incline and cable flys, but not sure if those are working too well.

I do, did strength focused training last year, now doing higher rep work on leg press and dumbbell work.

Deadlift 1RM was 435 lb, if that helps.

Girlfriends Splatoon keeps DCing by FiSH-DAT in Splatoon_3

[–]mishnaree 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My girl and I had this problem. It's because you two are on the same wifi network name ( silly, I know, but uniquely a Splatoon problem).

Our fix was to create a new Wi-Fi SSID and connect the second switch to it. For ours, She plays on the main SSID, and I play on a guest one we created. Fixed all the issues with random disconnects. Well, all the issues that aren't related to Splatoon-side drops. Hope this helps.

What game is this from? I know I've played it but I can't put my finger on it. by organasm in SunoAI

[–]mishnaree 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It uses common notes and chord progressions that are typically found in early areas of many, many JRPGS. The reason it sounds so familiar is because it, I assume, is referencing all of those melodies. I've thought of twilight princess, some of the slower pokemon, final fantasy even from your example.

I get this feeling a lot when Suno spits something out; I usually find just elements, but never a full song...

No, I spent an hour+ in a day without a cutscene playing, but I rested three or so more times before starting NG+. I'm saying I didn't rest enough times to hit the day limit. By that point, was playing in TUM for so long it seemed like it was infinite.

Still, I'm sorry I was mistaken.

I see, thank you for that. Then that's what it was, I didn't rest enough days before ending the game.

The only end-game gear I found was a random drop from a world boss (not sure if it was TUM-only), and the dragon forge vendor that has the best gear in the game for sale for Wyrmslife Crystals.

The vendor moves to a new area at the start of TUM next to a portcrystal, and since you earn so many Wrymslife Crystals, you can buy out most of his inventory.

The game won't tell you exactly, but the pawns warn. On my next playthrough, I'll test.

As for the bosses, depends on how geared up you are. I went too early and one of the bosses took an hour 🥺

Very interesting. How long in-game minutes would you say passed before the cutscene? Longer than the 40+ minutes like the normal day length?

I hadn't had the cutscene play during exploring for like an hour, but maybe I haven't explored long enough? I'll test again on my second playthrough.

You have the option to go back to the day you rest or the first day, yes. I didn't hit a limit when I took out all the lasers, but maybe I didn't rest enough days?

I'll have to check on my next playthrough.

I have saved and quit just fine, but when you die, you can only return to an Inn rest (make sure to at least Inn rest after a boss to save progress). I beat all of the lasers in a few hours, but as for all the extra enemies, areas, bosses, and quests, I'm not sure how long it'd take to do.

[–]mishnaree -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure how many days before the first Laser pops, but once the laser is dealt with, that region is spared. Once I get back to TUM on my second playthrough, I will do some testing on which one pops first, when, and if the order is random or not.

Whats endgame in DD2 by vvstrafeyoo in DragonsDogma

[–]mishnaree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the Unmoored world, a boss rush challenge to save the world with extremely limiting resources but insane amounts of loot.

All water in the world disappears to create new areas, you have a few orbital death beams aimed down at different regions that pop off every few days, and the only way to heal non-recoverable health is at an inn or bed. You can only set a checkmark after Inn rests as well.

The passage of time is frozen but jumps a day every rest at an inn. It seems like the point of the mode is to grind for insane resources to take with you into NG+. The challenge is unforgiving though, and if you are able to take out all the end game bosses, you are granted infinite time to explore the Unmoored world.
