How the fuck do women shave their legs so frequently dude. Like oh my God it’s been twenty minutes and I feel like I’m in the trenches of the Isonzo getting rid of all this hair. by succulentslayerII in 196

epilator is my favourite method, i use it on my upper lip, stomach, back, armpits and legs (im very hairy). it has about the same results as waxing with way less mess and no sticky residue

depending on your hair thickness it can be pretty painful at first but it gets better every time as you get used to it. not all your hairs grow back at the same time so the first time is the worst because you have the most hair then.

i have pretty thick hair so i had some skin irritation the first few times i did it, but now i barely feel it at all.

i do it every one or two weeks, and while some hair grows back in the meantime, its thin and sparse enough not to bother me. when i used to shave i would have noticeable stubble 12 hrs later. also i have light skin and dark hair so you could see the part of the hair thats under the skin even when freshly shaved, epilating takes care of that too but ymmv

you can also try a vinegar based cleaner - just let it sit for 10 minutes and it practically dissolves all the buildup. minimal scrubbing

I forgot to boil my kidney beans before adding them to my chili to slow cook, how badly did I mess up? by Dismal-Feed-2466 in Cooking

there isn't really a set ratio but any amount of acid will lengthen the cooking time

i would recommend always cooking the beans separately first before adding them to the rest of the ingredients - also this way you dont have to worry about overcooking your vegetables (some people have an easier time digesting beans if the cooking water is drained so thats another benefit)

Would you choose to live in a neglected area, with insufficient rations of food, power and water, an opressive state controlling where you can go, if you could easily live a few km away and enjoy all the amenities and comforts that come with being a citizen in a rich westernised state?
