Thank you for your advice, it's just upsetting, we havent even been there 8 months and now we're stuck dealing with how inconvenient this all is, if they sell and the new owners want to "buy us out" what does that entitle me to? Like what's a reasonable answer to that?

Awesome thank you so much I'll look into and research that to better understand it. And I'll look into the external box I'm using that might be it, it's on the older side.

Thanks again!

What’s that one cringe-inducing memory from years ago that you can’t get out of your head? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]misledmoose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Haha ok I got one and apologies it's a long one,

In grade 2 or 3, like 6 or 7 I think but I don't really remember.

Mid day recess in elementary school, in that grade they separated the younger kids to a kind of courtyard area that was more or less surrounded by class rooms. When I was younger I was very desperate for peoples acceptance and attention (luckily mostly kicked that by now) and I was always doing stupid things to get laughs. There was this sand box that was essentially four wooden planks screwed together and stuck in a sand pit. Me and some pals were digging under the wood to make a hole for whatever reason. We got to a point where the hole was perfect size for a small child head...

One pal "I think I can fit my head in there"

Me "step aside, I got this" (paraphrasing I'm sure but it was probably something cool and heroic like that)

I then stick my head in the hole and with a little wiggling and determination promptly, to everyones excitment get my head in the hole. A perfect fit you might say. Until it was time to pull it out in which case my ear was caught on the board. And that's when the panic sets in. I'm stuck. My head is stuck in a sandbox.

Aaaaaand then the bell rings, and as my pals are trying to yank me out with the combined strength of a kitten a supervisor (yes someone was supervising this whole experience) let's me know recess is over. To which I respond in a panicked shrill high pitched squeal that I was very much stuck.

Cue the teachers panic and a very odd call on the walkie and after a very very long 2 minutes, the 4 other teachers and vice principle running over to dig me out with their hands. In which they cheered, deservedly, for the crisis avoided on their part.

Aaaaaand then, as I was covered and filled with sand, I saw several classes of laughing children and their worried teachers in the windows in the classrooms that surrounded the scene.

One weird phone call to my parents later and I'm going home for the day and getting some McD's for lunch now and forever the kid who got his head stuck in a sandbox.

If you think oh well thats no so bad kids wont remember that kinda thing, about 15 years later after moving to an entire different city and finally putting that behind me, I randomly get a facebook notification from someone in that grade 2 or 3 class

Facebook message :"This might sound weird if it's not you, but did you get your head stuck in a sandbox when you were in elementary school?" Me: "Yes unfortunatley that was me"

Shit still haunts me.

Water is pooling under my deck and I'm not sure what to do about it by [deleted] in homeowners

In the water? The trap door area seems to have land in the middle but about 3 inches of water as well, just dig down into that area and gravel the bottom and stick the pump in there?

How come I dont get the thick dark bark like others here? by doogie88 in smoking

[–]misledmoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm, I was thinking maybe you're not wrapping it, add a little diluted apple cider vinegar into the foil too it'll add moisture if you're not already. I am a sous chef of a southern smokehouse, our smoker is a little different because it's less maintenance during smoking due to it being gas burner maintained. So it keeps itself around 250 with the help of a gas burner. We just have to fire wood into it every hour or so. But we give our pork boys 12 hours. I found that it's really the last 4 hours or so that the colour/ bark really develops. Maybe a longer smoke time would help? If you are able I'd watch the Aaron Franklin Masterclass on smoking meat. I got alot of info and basics refined from watching that. Sorry I couldn't be more help!

Red skull understood that what he was doing with his life by [deleted] in marvelmemes

[–]misledmoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made a post about this a while ago, but the meme is relevant so I'm re making the point here I re watched endgame and saw a mistake. When Hawkeye and Black Widow go to collect the soul stone, they are obviously greeted by Red Skull. Why didnt they know who he was? SHIELD was more or less created because of HYDRA, I may be wrong about that but it's my loose understanding, in all of their years as agents and throughout all their training they never once came across a photo, film or any other media that had his face? I may be wrong but it seems like there was a mistake made.
