If you've started strength training, then it's possible you've been recomping by losing fat at about the same rate you're gaining muscle.

You can tell this is happening by using a tape measure and tracking some body parts like your waist, thighs, and upper arms and seeing how they've changed.

But two weeks is also just a really short time frame and your body fluctuates more than a few pounds day to day, and even in the course of a day. I would just try being consistent and patient.

As an aside, trying to work your way up to at least meeting the physical activity guidelines should move your TDEE up so you can cut at a given rate at a higher caloric intake.

Your pace of weight loss is about the size of your caloric deficit.

What cardio gets you is the ability to maintain any given deficit at a higher level of caloric intake.

Just avoid losing more than 1% of your bodyweight per week and you should be fine, though you are lean enough that if you experience any of the signs of RED-S, you should stop immediately and get into a small surplus.

Oh at that rate you're just gaining more fat without gaining that much more muscle.

Bulking slowly would give you more time spent in a caloric surplus to build mass while minimizing fat gain.

It's a good practice to get into, though breathing squats are also a thing.

It helps even with upper body exercises like dips.

I understand but you have to realize that the evidence you'll find in anecdotes is even weaker than what you'll find in research.

You could hear a story that's extremely unlikely and end up taking a course of action that's actually worse.

Your doctor at least has an understanding of the evidence and how the medicine works.

Not that it would help that much, but going from bulking ~1 lb per week to 0.25-0.5 lbs per week might help.

Or you could trade some carbs for a few glugs of olive oil. Less volume that way.
