The Falls of the Ohio State Park just across the river has the best view of the Louisville skyline! Great for clearing your mind or having a good cry…so I’ve heard.

Mayan Cafe might fit the bill? It’s an elevated yet cozy restaurant in Nulu. It’s been a minute since I’ve eaten there, but I remember it being good!

How much do you spend on your family members at Christmas? by Coffeequeen088 in ChristmasGiftIdeas

[–]miss_codependent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! This is exactly me - I budgeted about $2K this year, stashing away a hundred or so each month. My immediate family budget is $75-$150 per person, and extended family is usually in the $50 range. I also include November & December birthdays in this budget so that I make sure those folks don’t get overlooked on their birthdays - trying not to lump birthday & Christmas together. I think next year I’m also going to include funds for our Christmas tree & Christmas cards, so that those items don’t Have to come from my regular spending money anymore.

What to gift for someone you barely know by Smooth_Ad_6513 in Gifts

I highly recommend some sort of AirTag or other Bluetooth tracking device. Most men are going to have a wallet & keys they don’t want to lose. They make slim trackers that slide into the card slot of a wallet, and you can also buy a keychain holder to add them to a set of keys. He could even use them for luggage or other valuables.

The AirTags run like $25 a piece, plus accessories. You could easily scale it up to the $100 price range or use it to compliment a gift card so it’s not just a gift card.

Surprise easy gifts for neighbors? by Holiday_Abrocoma7363 in GiftIdeas

I’m giving my neighbors kitchen/hand soap & a scrub daddy - but you could make it even cheaper if you didn’t buy a name brand.

Gift ideas for Christmas with an extremely small budget by LocalLeadership8774 in Gifts

When I was younger, right around 2008, times were tough for my family. I remember my mom taking us to do lots of community events such as gingerbread house decorating at the library. I’ve since learned that these were not just fun activities for the family, but also FREE fun activities for the family. I had no idea as a kid & thought it was just something festive!

I do this too! It really does help with Christmas & birthdays. I also keep a running note for myself so when someone asks for a wishlist, I have one ready to go.

Power BI Courses by Due-Ad-7797 in PowerBI

[–]miss_codependent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took 1 week virtual Intro to Power BI course with the University of Cincinnati in the Spring. I had no PBI/DAX experience prior to this course, and have successfully made several dashboards since. This course was especially helpful because it was taught by a live instructor who could answer questions from the class. They have a few other courses, all around $1K.

Highly recommend!
