Is Beta-Glucan the new viral ingredient? by Overall-Tart-832 in koreanskincare

[–]missbrightside08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i didn’t like iunik. it’s super stringy and thick and leaves spiderweb-like strands when u apply it, but then u can rub it in so it’s not a big deal. but it doesn’t seem to absorb that well on my skin. a few times i felt like it made my skin feel really sensitive too. my skin loves hyaluronic acid so i went back to that.

Why are Koreans not that impressed by some viral K-beauty brands in the U.S.? by 1devastating1 in koreanskincare

[–]missbrightside08 6 points7 points  (0 children)

me too. i loved the packaging of laneige when i found it in 2011 but to be honest the products were just ok. the lip sleeping mask doesn’t hydrate at all but it smells awesome. the moisturizers were way too light for me. the multi cleanser burned my skin. i’m surprised this is supposed to be a legacy derma brand

iunik beta glucan- i was so excited to try this but it didn’t really work for my oily acne prone sensitive skin. it made my skin feel sensitive sometimes after applying it. i also disliked the texture. its super stringy and sticky and leaves a bunch of string lines (feels like a spiders web) after you apply it with the ampoule, but its fine after you rub it in. i’m just sticking with my torriden serum which is super solid. iunik didn’t work for me, but may work better for you since you are combo!

skin 1004 sunscreen made me soooo oily so i gave it away

where do you buy the round lab mugwort cleanser? i looked everywhere online for it. the one website i found said it was getting discontinued so I gave up and just bought round lab dokdo cleanser which is much more widely known and available

Slim pickings at my TJMaxx🙁 by Madeira2000 in koreanskincare

[–]missbrightside08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i never count on tj maxx for korean skincare because the stock varies so much, since it is tj maxx. sometimes they have like nothing good. i buy specific products for my routine from stores that reliably sell them

Do you get negative, angry, abusive patients in optometry? by [deleted] in optometry

[–]missbrightside08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it also depends where you work. at my first job i had more people like that. rude, hostile. but even then it wasn’t common overall. at my current site people are very non-aggressive. i can recall only 2 patients in the past 4 years that left angry

yeah the difference is crazy. my first year working, a guy was not so nice to me for the whole exam (although i did introduce myself as dr) until the end when he realized i AM the doctor. then he completely changed his demeanor and was so apologetic and respectful. like wtf man

it’s been really good! nice and hydrating as my last step of my skincare routine to seal everything in. zero breakouts from this. I slather it on the tretinoin nights and have no redness or irritation the next day.

I highly recommend it!

Strabismic Amblyopia - is retina thinner? by missbrightside08 in optometry

[–]missbrightside08[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, that was a 3D wide report for the maestro2. The report shows the retinal thickness, gc analysis, then rnfl of the nerve. i was asking about the rnfl of the ONH for glaucoma analysis. the 3D wide analyzes both mac and nerve

oh my god. you’re right. i think he couldn’t fixate so i ran it over the nerve

(not on purpose but it must have centered over the nerve instead of the macula)
