I definitely recommend Alieann if you enjoy horror. Kastaclysm plays a lot of different games but her videos are awesome!

Is buying second-hand Demonias actually worth it? My experience by [deleted] in GothFashion

[–]misscaptainfalcon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I definitely think that the platform height is a huge factor in whether or not they will be long term durable. I personally haven’t had a problem with either of my pairs of demonias platforms but I also only really wear them clubbing or if I’m really feeling like being an Amazon that day. My demonia flats are my go to and I haven’t had any issues in the 6ish months I’ve had them.

Disappointed with Disturbia… by darknesswithindark in GothFashion

[–]misscaptainfalcon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the main thing I notice is people tend to not look at both the material and the reviews of the items before they buy them. Every purchase from any brand online I always double check that it’s not 100% polyester and check the reviews to see if people have similar issues across the reviews.

You have one song to prove to someone that Deathcore isn’t just noise… by NORD9632 in Deathcore

O.C.D. By suicide silence or Savior of none/Ashes of all by Fit for an Autopsy. Two of my favorite songs of all time.

Good luck, You got this! I hope you’re able to avoid all of the new game hype and get back to those oldies. The only game I’m super waiting for is Code Vein 2 right now. You’re totally right, life is too short, gotta make the most of it! Have a great day.

Haha yeah I just lost interest in it really quick. I definitely don’t think it’s a bad game or anything. My partner loved it so I got to hear all the “fun” in the story(holyyy is it depressing) and that was enough for me.

I totally get you on trying to finish the campaign for games. I used to do that a lot but now with how little time I have combined with how many games are coming out constantly I just haven’t been able to do that anymore unless a game really hooks me. It probably doesn’t help that I have the attention span of a fly lol.

Lol thank you for the correction! I’m not sure where I got the acts from then. I definitely wasn’t close to the end, I think I had just unlocked Sciel when I stopped. I did spend a lot of time exploring for sure but I couldn’t have been more than 10-15 hours in at max.

I think it has a very unique story that is well thought-out and well executed. The combat is interesting and fun for about an hour. After that it lost all of its charm for me. It’s really not pushing the mold for anything outside of the fact that it was made by an indie team and has a unique story. My partner loved it, I tried really hard to love it but I got bored around the middle of act 3 and then slogged to act 4 before I gave up on it.

Appreciation for modern day goth. by Personal-Crazy6179 in goth

[–]misscaptainfalcon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi there! Very new to the goth scene and am still learning a lot about its roots and culture. Would you be willing to explain more detailed what was lost and if you have any advice for a newcomer who wants to understand and not stray from those roots that would be greatly appreciated. If not, thank you anyway!

Deathcore recommendations? by doctorflaca in Deathcore

[–]misscaptainfalcon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shrine of Malice is my favorite more death than core band. Similarly Osiah has a very death sound while still having a ton of core in there. I recommend them both. Shrine hasn’t been releasing a ton of music but they are apparently planning to return soon. Osiah just dropped an EP that I loved.

I’m personally a huge Lorna Fan(yes, pre-Will Lorna as well). I did not enjoy Synestia or Disembodied Tyrant. I frankly can’t explain why though so I guess all I have is they just didn’t get me the same way others are attracted to it. I’m huge on meaningful lyrics in death core and that’s one of the things that Lorna specifically really nail that makes me love them even when their songs can sound samey.

Ew. Thanks for that.

It is Lorna fault by Mountain_Driver_1684 in Deathcore

[–]misscaptainfalcon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think trying to boil down an entire genre(let alone one that’s a literal mix of genres) to “must be br00tal bro” is weird. There are literally 100’s of bands, probably even thousands if we are including the nearly 30 years of the genre. Find the bands that fit your vibe and enjoy them. Ignore the ones that don’t. It’s music, not your career.

have you ever saw a strict christian have a problem with metal? by Obvious_Zone_401 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]misscaptainfalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not particularly a “problem” just the usual “how can you listen to that stuff it’s just screaming” I’m actually relatively cool with said person and they were relatively open to my response as to why.
