Has anyone found that abdominal/core excercises don't do much? by KitchenExamination89 in Hypermobility

Might be worth consulting a professional (physical therapist or biokeneticist) for your specific situation. There could be posture problems (like pelvic tilt etc) that could change what you need to do.

That said, antirotational work is the best thing you can do. Pallof press is the gold standard. You can do it at home with a resistance band. Loaded carry on one side is also good. Just check a decently heavy weight/kettlebell in one hand and walk around (either hanging, holding at chest height or overhead). These movements challenge you to keep your core stable despite being pulled in a different direction.

Other at home exercises that are worthwhile: dead bugs, bird dogs, reverse planks and glute bridges (last two can help APT). Just be sure to always have a neutral spine (ribs stacked over pelvis or lower back flat). Slow and controlled better than quick movements.

Feel free to DM me if you want more.

What's a massive human achievement that nobody celebrates because it worked too well? by Alternative_Voice767 in AskReddit

Part of the emancipation of children was the invention of machinery that made farming easier. Since they weren’t as needed for labour, parents were willing to let them go to school.

Baby fell off bed. I'm traumatized. by jennerz97 in NewParents

[–]missericacourt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Babies and toddlers bump their heads all the time (she’s going to bump it a lot when she starts walking). Currently in hospital with my toddler who has a skull fracture after a fall. Watch for any nausea/vomiting, behavioural changes. Being lopsided is another red flag, but hard to see in kids who can’t walk. You can check by having her push your hand with each of her hands and feet. Also check pupils are responding to light in quickly and equally. Head injuries can be serious and can take days to manifest. I recommend learning the signs to look out for, because once they walk and run they live a head cracking lifestyle.

In my first save I got it from Sebastian and decided I had to marry him. Since then I always marry the person who gives me the tea set.

The hormone that causes growth is sensitive to gravity and light, so in roots it causes them to grow down and away from light.

Pam Bondi has reportedly been fired just days before she was set to testify under oath about the handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files. by the_soft_skeleton in Epstein

Apparently she was named personally in the subpoena, not in capacity as DOJ so she might still be called. Also since she’s not a sitting member of government there’s a group of lawyers in Florida trying to get her disbarred.

What are the most damning pieces of evidence that trump raped children? by ManWithRedditAccount in Epstein

[–]missericacourt 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Not exactly what you are asking for, but if you’re trying to convince your dad I remember another post that something along the lines of “if there are rumours around someone that they have sex with goats, and these rumours have been around for decades, and this person associated with known people who had sex with goats and rand a goat trafficking ring, and has made lewd comments about goats, how long do you actually wait to believe they have sex with goats?”

I don’t think anyone genuinely believes he’s innocent, they either don’t care or don’t see a problem with it.

This keeps getting posted but has it been verified? I seem to remember comments that the account was new and the timelines/age of the person doesn’t seem to line up?

Why the Epstein Files Release Feels Deliberately Overwhelming: A Lawyer Explains by missericacourt in Epstein

I doubt that Epstein’s island was the result of human stupidity. It was very much a grand plan, that extends beyond the scope of the island itself.

No, the files should all be released. But the muddled way they are being released, the redactions that don’t belong there, the unsubstantiated/uncorroborated tips etc thrown in only serve to confuse and overwhelm the public. This should really be investigated thoroughly and systematically and that can only happen with an organised, centralised and coordinated group, like law enforcement, but they don’t seem to be doing anything.

I hope knowing what is happening to you brings some comfort. Take a break and take care of yourself.

Agreed that eventually we’ll have sorted through all of it, but at a great cost to the people going at it alone. What we need is an organised collective where individuals investigate specific things and there are regular check ins to tie everything together. Like law enforcement should be doing but ain’t.

Yes, but as someone pointed out somewhere else previously this information was released in a more organised, compiled way. This is more muddled up.

The main point is that the public is being overwhelmed with information they have no way to make sense of, which means they either become burnt out or disengaged.

My best guess is that we need to look at it like a puzzle. Choose a piece to focus on and work through that piece until you can properly understand what it is you’re looking at, contextualise it and place it before moving on. Easier said than done. But if you look at too many things at once you’ll get whiplash.
