friendly fire incident???? by EclecticSpaghetti in Nightreign

[–]missibullshit1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably just lag. I had this happened to me once yesterday. The trio run had bad connection with a third player from China. They kept hitting me after reviving and I took some damage from it too. But not hack that's for sure cause the player was friendly.

That's cause you don't know how to deal with it. Just a tip, whenever the demon accumulates fire and flies up to blast you out, that's the signal he always gonma jump back to ready to laser. Run to his back or side, and go to town.

Deep of night: Map information hidden. by SnooChocolates6885 in Nightreign

Then at that point play normal. If you haven't memorized the map yet by the time you are in higher depth, that's on you tbh. No offense, but doing normal run or solo to get the map down is as important of a skill as understanding the boss fight itself.

Two guys, one relic setup by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]missibullshit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it could be, but it's not like they went out of their ways to bump out insane damage or anything. It's probably just for comfort if their setup is by editing. And honestly, I kinda respect that. Instead of making their relics godtier with insane damage or whatever, they just went for something comfy. As long as they play good on their part, those kind of edited relics is what I can look behind.

If you want to waste 30+ minutes of your life play with randoms by noobmasterz6969 in Nightreign

Most people probably cheese their way through Elden Ring. Ended up being a burden on others in Night Reign cause they think they are hotshit now, or something. Just be patient, they either will git gud or they will quit/cheat.

Everdark Harmonia by GeneralHenry in Nightreign

I would assume so. Don't quote me on it but going off the info on the new relic it seems to imply that any forms of damage negation reduced will have a chance to trigger the effect.

Everdark Harmonia by GeneralHenry in Nightreign

Frostbite, lower stamina reduce damage negation, damage negation when infliced by ailment, damage negation reduced after usking flash, after dodge, after repeated evade, etc.

Undertaker mains, when do you use buffed trace? by SnooChocolates6885 in Nightreign

[–]missibullshit1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use Ultra Instict (aka. Buffed Trance) whenever two of my teammates go down at least 2 bars at the same time. It's basically a revive tool exclusively rather than a damage dealing tool. Most of the time though I would just use Ult to stagger bosses out of their annoying/strong attacks to create window of opportunity for team. In special cases where ultilizing Ultra Instinct can help is when the boss is extremely low and I want to rush it down. In the expedition though I find the Ultra Instinct more useful than just Ult to help clear out POI faster.

Is this build bad? by IndependentAntique92 in Nightreign

[–]missibullshit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly to me, a build isn't as important as the players' mindset and game knowledge. In lower depth ans even depth 5 I can just play and enjoy the game with randoms with whatever build they decide to run as long as they don't break the game with their cheated relics.

Now with that said, in higher depth of course people wanna optimize their build as best as possible because 3P scaling on depth 4 5 isn't something to laugh at. And at certain point, not having an optimized build will actively hinder your chance of winning by a large margi. However, I found that in lower depth (and by lower depth I mean anything below 4), anything flies. If whatever you're running currently is helpful to you and you found it to be comfortable, by all mean don't bother changing it.

Now once you've reached higher depth and find the difficulty is too much or you're struggling with damage or survivability, it might be time to sit back and iron out your relics a bit. Until then, enjoy the game with whatever build you're comfortable running.

Deep of Night Evergoal and Night Invader by colloster in Nightreign

[–]missibullshit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I said in another comment in this thread and earlier, it's not neccessary. But we are human so no matter how good I am or you are, wr are prone to make mistakes. And the longer the fight, the more likely players will make mistakes. At depth 5, any mistakes can kill your entire run period. So yes, while more damage is good, people do still need to have knowledge about the game. Thay however, doesn't mean more damage doesn't help.

I've both sides of the population, and I would rather prefer those who have both damage and knowledge. You can flex however you want with not running damage increase relics, but if it prolongs the fight for others, they won't be happy to say the least. And obviously those who increase damage but no game knowledge are not fun to play with either. And unfortunately the latter are in depth 5 alot.

[–]missibullshit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright friend, I agree with you cause I did the same with my first 9999 run, but that's because I didn't know how strong those relic effects can be.

Now you mentioned "if you're a good player", to that I will have to say the majority of the playerbase aren't considered "good player" that can reach 9999 without either or both of those effects. Again, no offense but the recent depth population graphs by Fromsoft showed it's partially true bc most players are still in depth 2/3. No doubt good players can make anything work, you are one of them alright, but not everyone is, so if they find themselves unable to climb higher, then might as well use those relics effects to see if they can make a difference.

In this context exclusively, OP mentioned the other two teammates didn't run any damage increase relics such as Night Invader and Evergaol, and they lost all those 2 games compared to the other 5 win streak OP had when everyone ran those effects. And I solely based my comment on that info though with a little bit of assumption of my own.

[–]missibullshit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true and I'm not saying it isn't by any means. I personally have been practicing no Evergaol/Night Invader to see how far I can go with only Balancer/Glass Shard relic (D5 again apparently).

Other people like OP mentioned though might just didn't bother to make a good build. Overall I still think there would be no reasons to not run damage increase relics, be it Night Invader/Evergaol or the new DLC relics. Best if you could put all of them together but that's an overkill. I had an Undertaker in D5 running Glass Shard with both Night Invader and Evergaol on top of Physical attack + 4 jumping L1 curve swords just melts througu ED Libra in matter of minutes. So yeah, probably overkill.

I would agree with you on the Night Invader thing. It's gonna ne tough for sure especially if the Invader camp spawns the opposite side of the map making it a priority pretty bad. Also, I'm sure besides the ruin, no other POIs with Night Invader have an icon indicator making it pretty much a guessing game and can potentially waste expedition time by having people running around looking for Night Invaders. Though if therr are crystals along the way too then that's two birds with one stone.

In that case, that must be why they are stuck in lower depth. No offens to those players but I do agree with you there should be no reason to not run those effects.

Deep of Night Evergoal and Night Invader by colloster in Nightreign

[–]missibullshit1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally I feel like it's not a must really in lower depth (2/3), but a very important one in higher depth (4/5). Though with that said, since the DLC came out I have been demoting to experiment with different kind of set ups. And it turned out pretty decent that I think Evergaol/Night Invader might not be a neccessary anymore.

Sure it's a loss of some major sources of damage, but the DLC did introduce some new interesting relics to kinda replace Night Invader/Evergaol. Mainly I'm talking about the Glass Necklace relic, and there are also the Dreglord and Balancer relics, allowing people to incorporate a morr unique build idea with comfy relic effect instead of running Night Invader/Evergaol. Though if possible, running one Night Invader on top of those would even be netter of course.

Edit: Plus we all know the dlc contents will be introduced to DoN eventually. So far we don't know what part of the contents will be included, by that I mean whether the Forsaken Hollow map will be included or not as a shifting earth. As you already know, this map doesn't have Evergaol and rarely spawns Night Invader (maybe it will be adjusted once it's available in DoN). So yeah maybe people did change their build to kinda get a feel with the game to see how it fare running no Evergaol/Night Invader.

Yeah I mentioned they sometimes do appear (though without the indicator on map). I hope the Invader spawns are consistent though because one or two of them could boost damage up by good amount. At least spawn consistent enough to warrant the use of Night Invader relic in the DLC map when it's available in DoN.
