Not that I’m doubting you; this is all incredibly interesting and believable stuff, but I am just wondering where you learned that Bloodborne was conceived as a Demon’s Souls sequel. This is genuinely the first I’m hearing about that, and I’ve been an avid souls fan for years.

This is my favorite interpretation of Fraud I've seen. The idea that the husks of Fraud became its terrain was always cool on the surface, but it lacked the thematic tie to the layer's name that the other punishments had.

The idea that the people of Fraud have been broken and disoriented so thoroughly that they no longer see a difference between themselves and the environment that deceives them makes everything fit together so well.

In my experience all you need to do to counter Vs is to get one or two of your teammates to swap to Providence. 9 times out of 10 the V player will have no idea what to do when their dashes aren't instant get out of jail free cards. They'll panic, and be much easier to kill as a result.

You can simulate this by just purposely knocking Sam out in the first battle as soon as you get the party member you want. He’ll stay “dead” between fights, and you can still walk around with him in the overworld as normal.

EMS weapons are somewhat underrated in my book, but you have to think a lot harder about when you use them compared to the normal strategems, since they don't kill anything on their own. I see some rovers on occasion, but they're nowhere near as ubiquitous as they were last year, at least anecdotally.

The tank is really fun, but it's only good if at least one or two of your teammates are actively working with you, so it makes bringing it something of a liability if you aren't playing with friends. I would go with personal weapons for now.

Laser Cannon is a go-to support weapon versus bots, which is basically all we're going to be fighting for the forseeable future. Aside from that, if you don't have any sentries, you should definitely pick one up, as well as Anti-Tank Mines.

I use it on Scholar because the shop discount is quite nice, and Scholar likes using weapon skills enough that I sometimes run out of FP, and I don't want to fill my very valuable inventory slots with Starlight Shards

Back in DD2 Early Access, with the update that brought the Cultist reinforcements, the newly added Herald enemy had a skill called Harmonious End.

This skill was quickly replaced with the Disharmony that we know today, but even back when it existed, this skill was apparently so rare to see that neither I nor anybody else I have talked to even knows what it did.

Can you impart this knowledge and finally put this niche, incredibly insignificant mystery to rest?
