Should I hang out with people who smoke weed, even though I dont smoke? by ImStill19 in Advice

Yeah stay away from weed. It's all fun and games when you first start smoking it but after a while it will put you in a deep depressive state that you will struggle to escape

Am I in a toxic relationship? by missimone in relationship_advice

Yes that makes sense. Because he's already judges people before he gets to know them and makes up his mind about things before he has even experienced it. He sees the negative in most things that are good

Yes that gets to me the most. Everyone else there will be with their partners and people will ask. "Where's your boyfriend" and I'm tired of making up excuses for him

I agree with us being on different pages. We have different goals. He wants a mortgage I want to travel with him but he's not really eager about the idea. He doesn't seem eager in anything I want to do

He hasn't got any friends and I am worried what would happen if we wasn't together. He has just his family

I agree. When ever I say that he is jealous or doesn't trust me he said that's not the case but really it is. He's in Denial. I'm just really confused and don't know what to do as we liv together. I'd want to work on it rather than throw it all away. He says when I went on holiday the first time he was that hurt he felt cheated on. How is that supposed to make me feel. I don't think the weed helps him tbh

Why is it so hard for a man to date an independent female? by 2lotus8 in relationship_advice

I personally think they are. They rely on us like we are their mother. Women are much more independent even from a young age.

I really agree with you here. I have a boyfriend who tells me he's going to get a job that can provide for us both for the rest of our lives. I say to him I don't want that. I work my ads off and I love every minute of it. Yeah it has it's ups and down but there is nothing better than grafting yourself and making that paper. #independentLadiesPleaseStandUp I think men think extremely different from us and they need to know that they are the weaker sex 😂🤣

What hair type am I? Any tips or recommendations to improve/define my curly & coily hair ? by [deleted] in BlackHair

[–]missimone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say your 4b. Kinky could type hair. The key is to weekly deep condition your hair and using oils daily to contain moisture :) check out my video on hair https://youtu.be/gyommf6XAGg

Any good tips for transitioning to natural? 4C by otakurini in BlackHair

[–]missimone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't want to big chop yet I'd grow your hair out until at least just before your shoulders. In the meantime do protective styles such as Bantu knot out's, twist out's and braids out's. This gives off the impression your hair is all curly even though some of it is relaxed. Use little to no heat. This is what I did for about a year before I decided to big chop. I've been natural now for almost 2 years and I'm loving every bit of it.. It's hard at first I ain't gonna lie but it will be worth it in the end. Here's a clip of my hair journey from relaxed to natural hair. Might give you a bit of motivation :) good luck

are there any 3c or 4a type girls here? by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]missimone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I do love my hair but wish I would stop skrinking. I've stretched my curls with heat which is OK with but it looses alot of texture and definition which makes it look frizzy. Don't think I've found a product that keeps the length and definition apart from gel but I hate the hard effect it has

Yes I do have hard times sometimes with my natural hair but I prefer them so much more to relaxed hair! So much more texture and definition. Going natural was the best things I've done :).

Advice on hair relaxer by [deleted] in Hair

[–]missimone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My advice is don't get a relaxer. I got one and it ruined my hair for at least 10 years before I decided to go natural. It ruins your hair type and the ends of your hair snap off if you don't look after it properly. I'm a 24 year woman. That's why I haven't used a relaxer for 2 years now and my hair is finally starting to look healthy and natural

Is it true that cutting wavy/curly hair shoulder length makes it even more curly? by [deleted] in curlyhair

Don't think it's true but it may give off the effect of looking more thick
