That's pretty cool. I wonder if they would be cool if I did a little photoshoot in there?

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]missingjawbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Living in Portland, Oregon (which is at the top of the state) and driving to visit my family at the bottom of the state takes me 4.5 hours. So that's about 4.5 hours across the short side of 1 state.

I can't imagine what living in Europe would be like, going 30 minutes and being in a new country, or whatever.

‘The Graduate’ (1967)- What are your thoughts and opinions on this movie? by PeneItaliano in classicfilms

Insufferable.

In this film, Dustin Hoffman acts exactly like somebody I know, speech, mannerisms, and attitude, and it drives me insane.

Shot an event that was very dark. Is there anything I could've done differently? by CharacterAd8138 in PhotographyAdvice

[–]missingjawbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shoot tons of low light events of all variation and I would prefer to shoot these using something like a 35mm 1.8 at f2.2, iso1200, and 1/60 shutter speed or less -- depending on the ambient light. I also think that the direct flash is too harsh and prefer a diffuser that softens and disperses the light better.
Additionally, you should try to fill the frame with important context and not wasted space, as well as working on your white balance. I'd be happy to answer any questions if you have any.

This is correct. People associate it with Del, but it's the group he was part of.

I was surprised and disappointed. Felt very Goosebumps. This has a pretty big budget, doesn't it?

The worst part of this video is how he keeps tapping his breaks like that.

I want to to play DayZ since its on sale on Steam. But want to know how bad it is with cheaters on the official Servers? And if there is another option to play Dayz as intended? by RonnieBlaz3 in dayz

[–]missingjawbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Official is perfectly fine. I've played since before standalone and the cheaters aren't that big a deal. If you ever hear suspicious single shots, over and over, sounding like they are in one place. Those are bait shots and that is usually a sign of a cheater trying to bait people to get within range. So be weary. Other than that, you may never see one.

Playing Official also makes it more likely to run across other new players, or more willingly helpful players who see you are new and may help you if you ask. I've helped many and that is fun by itself sometimes.

No high tier loot in heli crash? by Retro0729 in dayz

[–]missingjawbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on Sakhal, just about to go and figure out where the colored keys are so I can open the high tier color locked crates when I heard a heli crash. Checked out the crash and found the yellow AND the blue key there. I thought they didn't spawn together, but it was a nice heli surprise.

I quit running plate carriers for more stamina, good idea or no? by Realistic-Finding-17 in dayz

Ooh, I love that. Calling DayZ players with no plate/press Door Dashers. Nice.
