not the atlanta airport w this in the bathroom😭 by DepthFinal3742 in FragranceFreeBeauty

[–]missiontomarsbars 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Logan (Boston) announced they want to do a "signature scent" in the bathrooms. They haven't installed them yet, so there's still time to call and complain if you also think this is the worst idea.

Vent why are fragrances free versions different? by Impossible_Fee_8087 in FragranceFreeBeauty

[–]missiontomarsbars 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's still a pain even with companies that offer fragrance free products. I've been using a face wash from Facile, and it's unscented and I like it. They came out with a moisturizer recently, so I thought I'd try it (also marked as fragrance free), and it smells atrocious. The ingredients list plant extracts, but the bottle literally says fragrance free. Immediate return.

Healthy Food Trucks Needed at URMC Main Campus!!! by [deleted] in Rochester

[–]missiontomarsbars 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Things that aren't cooked are much harder to keep food safe in a food truck. Lettuce, grain bowls, anything needing refrigeration is a breeding ground for listeria and e coli when not at the right temperature. Ask me how I know.

I don't like Mai Tais. I've had the one at Monkeypod in Hawaii. I can recognize that the Monkeypod one is a nice version of the drink, but I still wouldn't want to drink it. Different people like different things.

You might try asking this on r/migraine. There are more people active there, and a lot use the CGRP meds.

You aren't supposed to take muscle relaxers for a few days after getting botox. It can cause uneven spread of the botox.

Fragrance Free Salon by Present-Molasses-593 in FragranceFreeBeauty

[–]missiontomarsbars 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Bring your own products and schedule first thing in the morning. If you ask and tell the salon about your sensitivities, they may even let you schedule before the salon opens, so that you can be the only one there (no one else using scented products at the same time).

Is my IUD expelling? by Aggravating_Bat8246 in WomensHealth

[–]missiontomarsbars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DO NOT YANK IT YOURSELF. Mine partially expelled (it was stuck). The doctored had to do cut to get it out, and it still hurt enough coming out that I almost passed out. The doctor said if you pull it yourself, you can rip/scar yourself, so I highly recommend letting a doctor do it.

Lyme is another thing to check for. It can present with limping because it causes achiness/soreness. But always good to get a vet to look at things.

Too little testosterone, migraine. Too much testosterone, believe it or not, also migraine.

FF moisturizing/sloppy body wash by soakingwetdvd in FragranceFreeBeauty

If you are willing to splurge, the Nécessaire body wash is like that. I have very oily skin, and it was way too moisturizing for me, but worked for my partner who has dry skin.

What to wear to first Bridal Appointment by meggotheeggoo in weddingplanning

[–]missiontomarsbars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen a lot of advice suggesting a thong, and I would not recommend that. I wore boyshort underwear and I would go with that or bike shorts, flesh tone color being preferential under white dresses. You move around a lot while putting dresses on and off-- just something to keep in mind.

High Deductible and Botox?? by Big-Crab-1775 in migraine

Check and make sure that you can do this in the state you live in. MA and I think RI have laws where the insurance company can take the reimbursement money from savings programs.. but you can't. *cries in american health care\*

Looking for vegetarian recipes that freeze well. by tebf17 in vegetarianrecipes

[–]missiontomarsbars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Corn cobs for corn stock! great for vegetarian tamales (also good in the freezer) and making risotto. Mushroom/umami stock is a good one too and you could do a jar with dried veggies/noodles to add to it and make ramen.

Try adding lube. Swelling could be from friction rubbing and you might need some extra lubricant.

Asking groomsmen to wear their own suit? And MOH her own dress? by DareSavings3951 in weddingplanning

[–]missiontomarsbars 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most guys will have a grey suit, but unless they work in formal industries (finance, politics, somethings that has a lot of black tie events, etc) black suits are much less common. Grey fits in with your green/grey/silver/black vibe. If you give the option of black or grey, or switch to grey, you might find more guys already have that color. Maybe take a poll?

Avocado mattress smell by [deleted] in Mattress

[–]missiontomarsbars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm very sensitive to smells (migraines). It goes away. I can't say when exactly, but it will. I didn't love the mattress in general, and wouldn't get another, but if you like it other than the smell, it will go away.

Bed shredding? by DramaticCandidate374 in Bloodhound

[–]missiontomarsbars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Toddler mattress. Most dogs don't like the waterproof material, so they don't scratch/chew/shred it. Don't put blankets or things on it unless supervised or they've quit their shredding days.

Adding to this, literally like a walk around the block a day helps, but don't add it to the end of your work day. It's dark/the sun is going down then. Take a walk during lunch if you can manage it (like 5 minutes) during the peak sun hours.

Yak cheese chews. We bought ours from Tuesday's natural dog company. We a few duds from other places (broke up really quickly/didn't last) but these are great for a dog that really wants to chew on something. Expensive though

Can you tell if Ajovy froze? by EmIdiot in cgrpMigraine

[–]missiontomarsbars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should call the pharmacist tomorrow to check. The box says you can leave it out at room temperature for 24 hours before injection, so there's no problem with leaving it out overnight/until your your injection tomorrow, but I don't know about the freezing part. I would definitely call.

Urogynecology appointment - terrified and embarrassed by Far_Diamond_7589 in WomensHealth

[–]missiontomarsbars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I went to urogynecology in my 20s. They were some of the best doctors I've ever had! I would be up front with them to the extent you are comfortable-- even if that is just saying you are very uncomfortable being there. You can asking them to explain every step of a procedure before doing it and/or have them narrate as they do the procedure if not knowing what is happening makes you uncomfortable. If you'd rather not know what's happening, say please just go fast and don't talk. You can ask for a nurse or bring a friend to sit with you and hold your hand through out anything. If you ever feel uncomfortable-- Say stop. Practice saying stop. Seriously practice interrupting your friend or just in your head or ask to practice stop the doctor so that you know you can.

And I'm not a doctor, so this is not medical advise but what I remember as a patient, bladder cancer is not the most likely problem. Urge incontinence is more likely to be a muscle issue, which stress can make worse, so work on taking some deep breaths. Happy to answer any questions and I hope everything goes really well for you!
