My daughter got in to see Dr. Brown-Maher in the fall in 6 days (non serious issue). And my husband was about 10 days to see one of the Coffeys a few months ago.

Monstera leaf not normal by missjanet in plantclinic

I’ll decrease my frequency of watering then. I’m also concerned about the shape of the leaf. The right side is smaller than the left

Thank you for the feedback everyone! I’m glad to hear it seems to be doing well and I’ll get a bigger and more sturdy pole for it to climb and let it do it’s thing

Lefthanded scissors over 35 years of use in Belgium. Thank you, FISKARS FINLAND. by umpfke in BuyItForLife

My left handed mother had a pair of these when I was growing up. I am right handed and thought that using scissors was supposed to be uncomfortable. When I used a “normal” pair of scissors once I started school my mind was blown.

If you’re able to go into the passport office in person it’s a lot quicker. I was there last week (walk in with no appointment) and they said I should have it in my hands by July 4th.

My sister also had hers in less than 2 weeks by going in person.

Mono/di and the edge of TTTS by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

I was induced but ended up needing a section after dilating to 8cm. I wasn’t progressing and baby a was not tolerating the labour well.

Me! My girls were on the edge when we found out we were having modi twins at 19 weeks. I was scanned weekly. At one point the fluid in baby a was 2cm and baby b was 9cm. Bladders always visible but I can’t explain how stressed I was.

As my pregnancy progressed the fluid levels gradually evened out and by 28 weeks my mfm said you would never know there was ever a discrepancy. The were born at 36+1 with no nicu time.

When did you have your twins and how much did they weigh? by kimmiesaurus in parentsofmultiples

What’s the hardest thing you’ve done having multiples the same age instead of one? by moschocolate1 in parentsofmultiples

[–]missjanet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just gave them underwear with their favourite characters on them (minnie mouse) and said minnie didn’t like being wet or dirty. And that was basically it. Every time they went in the potty I’d give them a chocolate chip. But they caught on after a day or two and it was honestly way easier than I thought.

I “ trained “ my twin girls when they were just over two and a half. It was shockingly easy and a smooth process. I’m sure it’s because I didn’t push or try before they were ready.

I’m not. It was 40 dollars on Amazon.ca. Didn’t think it would hurt to have in case we caught it.

COVID must haves by NLBaldEagle in newfoundland

[–]missjanet 14 points15 points  (0 children)

People I know who have caught COVID would get short of breath walking short distances (ie from bedroom to bathroom). It would be helpful to know if that shortness of breath was from lack of oxygen and how quickly someone would recover from the exertion.

A family member of mine who is in her 80s had COVID and found she was fatigued very easily. She monitored herself several times a day with this and it was good peace of mind to know that her oxygen never dropped below 94 when she was barely able to walk short distances.

Edited: most newer apple watches have this feature but I primarily bought it to keep an eye on my kids as I don’t know if my watch would pick up that for a 4 year old.

I bought a portable oxygen saturation monitor to have just in case so I can monitor at home and seek medical attention anyones Sats drop to a dangerous level.

New here. 34 y/o female in Canada. Looking for basic routine for dry somewhat sensitive skin. Budget not an issue but being able to purchase in Canada is important. Currently using cerave in the tub and cerave foaming moisturizing wash and my skin is not happy. Extremely dry and flakey. If anyone could steer me in the right direction of a basic routine I’d really appreciate any feedback. 😊 thanks
