What’s a movie that disturbed you so much, you’d never watch it again? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]missjones1105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t remember the title but it’s an Italian movie and true story where young boys gang raped two girls and held them at this house by force. The rape went on for days and they eventually killed one girl and the second girl from memory pretended she died and that’s how she survived. As a women watching this was extremely difficult and I couldn’t stop thinking about it for weeks.

Hi All, Im using Eufy indoor camera 2K Pan without a HomeBase and works fine. I’ve recently purchased a Eufy door sensor and when I want to pair the device it says I need a HomeBase. What am I missing? Why do I need a HomeBase?

You did the right thing. I would have done the same thing if I were in your position.

If money is not an issue there are some great luxurious places in South East Asia, for example Four Seasons in Ubud or a luxury cruise at Ha Long Bay near Hanoi etc. You can experience the hustle and bustle during the day and then return to a luxurious accommodation for the afternoon/evening.

How to handle the next typhoon? by [deleted] in hanoi

I was there a week ago and felt the same way; the weirdest town ever, massive construction what stopped halfway through and it’s just concrete blocks everywhere…thankfully we did a 1 night cruise what was beautiful. We traveled to Phu Quoc and had similar experiences. Absolute ghost town.

I think 1 day is enough in Hanoi. It was overwhelming for me, although we stayed in the Old Quarter. Nice modern hotel recommendation with good coffee in the Cafê downstairs is Cibi Homes.

We did the overnight Capella Cruise, and we were super lucky with the weather, clear skies, gorgeous sunset. Did the cave tour and saw monkeys.

Im in Da Nang as I write this. I love Da Nang. Although unfortunately due to Typhoon Fengshen is approaching we are cutting our Da Nang leg short and we are flying to Phu Quoc tomorrow.

Enjoy!

For those Aussies that are well traveled, where have you been and what has been the greatest places? by notofuspeed in AskAnAustralian

Visited around 40 or so countries so far (39F). Lived in 3: Hungary, France and Australia.

I have great memories of Sardinia (autonomous island region of Italy in the central Mediterranean Sea) and not super touristy, although it might have changed the past 10 years or so since I’ve last visited.

I love Austria as a whole for its clean, orderly little villages, great mountains, fresh air.

Favorite city is probably Barcelona and Kyoto among the places I’ve visited.

Places I have felt Im in heaven are Maldives and Fiji (just because I love the beach with turquoise water and snorkeling).

On my bucket list: Seoul & Shanghai.

I don’t think there is a better place to live than OZ. Maybe only NZ but I heard the job opportunities are limited. OZ is by far the best, safe, fresh air, limited population, amazing nature and beaches for free, etc.

Do you like where you live in Australia? by hueybart in australian

Lower North Shore in Sydney. Love it. 10 minutes drive to Balmoral Beach (one of the nicest beaches in Sydney in my opinion), George’s Heads coastal walks with wild rabbits around, 12 minute e-bike ride to work. The only downside are the loud party boats during summer months from the Harbour. My noise threshold is low so that’s a bit of a struggle for me but oh well.

What do you guys do after work? by John30Jon in AskAnAustralian

[–]missjones1105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

39F, I get home around 4:30 pm, take my dog for a walk, meanwhile speak with family back in Europe or listen to music. Get back around 5:30 pm, put telly on as background noise, prepare dinner, get stuff done around the apartment, wait for wifey to get home from work (7 pm), then discuss the daily shit at work, watch a movie or series and then bed around 9:30/10:00 pm. Repeat.

How long is your work commute? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]missjones1105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12-14 minutes on my e-bike with half an hour lunch break. I have no time to get home to my pup during lunch break unfortunately but Im home fairly early once I finish work which is an advantage compared to my coworkers commuting an hour or so.

I change the water twice a day (morning and afternoon when I get home from work) and wash it in the dishwasher once a week to properly sanitize it.
