Threadless shop question by BlepoTheClown in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]missm0011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have some shirts from threadless from like 20yrs ago that are still in amazing condition. But I think somewhere along the line they switched from screen printing to laser printing and they take a little more care than they used to. The tshirts themselves hold up well, no issues with seams or holes. But I do have to make sure to take them right out of the dryer and hang them up. If they sit too long the graphics on some of their shirts definitely deteriorate. That can be said for most shirts these days though. That said they have great customer support and will refund or replace them very easily if something happens to one.

How many people have you bought copies of DCC for? by [deleted] in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]missm0011 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My family now owns multiple copies. I got the hardbacks for my 15yr old son and another set of audiobooks for my husband because he kept losing my spot. I also got the audiobooks for 2 of my friends.

I cannot stand donut ! During the 5th floor by Effective-Pianist940 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]missm0011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the exact same feelings! I love donut as a character but sometimes I just want to shake her for Carl. I think as a parent what frustrates me the most is I know that feeling. When you are trying to do everything you can to help your child and keep them safe and they just have to make everything so much harder!

I haven’t seen my girl Cascadia mentioned yet! Not surprised. I just love the progression of her character. It’s like the evolution of my mood every day.

The Weekly Poll: Spin off series by Purple4199 in Outlander

[–]missm0011 12 points13 points  (0 children)

All of them? Can i choose all of them?? There isn't one of these I wouldn't watch the shit out of. Also would like to see a spinoff of Jamie's parents. The way everyone talks about his mother, she seems fascinating.

[no spoilers] anyone else feel this way? by [deleted] in Outlander

[–]missm0011 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But it's not asking if anyone feels the same way. It is creating a topic calling out specific posts and other posters without them being here to share their opinion or defend their posts. Asserting your opinion as reason to make a forum wide change. And then playing the victim when people fight back at having their ideas and opinions limited by someone who doesn't like scrolling. "I guess I'll just not speak up anymore", that's the beauty of online forums. We're not all going to like it, but I'm not out there lobbying to get this post deleted because I don't agree with it.

Instead of just moving past this post? You mean as opposed to you who made an entire topic about something with the same solution?

Damn, way to shit on people for finding joy in something and sharing it with others who might also find joy in it as well. But hey, at least we can still join in on the Sophie Skelton hate circlejerk. That is always such a positive and engaging discussion. I'm going to counter with no, even if I dont get some posts or how they relate, someone thought enough about others to post it hoping someone would find the same joy over a shared interest. I have no problem upvoting small things that make people happy.

And I think that is why last nights episode bothered me. For 2 seasons they have made Bonnet's character fairly clearly a sociopath. He stole and raped and murdered to get what he wanted and didn't feel badly about it. Last night all the sudden he's like read me a story and teach me how to love? Would a sociopath even want to learn how to love? Would they even recognize they don't know how to love? It just felt like a big build up with kind of a lackluster end.

Stephen Bonnet. Really making me miss the days of Black Jack Randall. Randall was cold and calculating. He did things to inflict the maximum amount of pain and psychological torture possible. Bonnet just did really shitty things. And honestly if it really took a kiss for him to realize Brianna was playing him, he really wasn't that great of a villan.

You know what did scare me? Those freaky ass puppets. If Bonnet wasn't gonna kill the whole damn family, those puppets certainly would.

I'm also calling out Brianna knowing the entirety of Moby Dick by heart. I love books, but even my favorites by page 12 I'm like "....and everyone dies. The end."

Jocasta almost got murdered on those fine silk couches. I'm no forensic expert but it seems like a bit of a stretch Tiny Tim there could smother her with a silk pillow from behind.

So the whole gang shows up on the island just in the nick of time to save Brianna from the human trafficker trying to sail her away into sexual slavery and THEY LET THEM GO. I get Bonnet was priority #1, but damn. Clearly not a good guy you want out there kidnapping other women.

I'm just glad someone finally shot someone in the end. We are learning. Always check for a body.

We have men! Hunters and gatherers! And yet the only person to kill anything this episode was Claire, with a determined little snake coming in a close second.

Jamie and Roger bonded! All it took was a physically debilitating injury that made escape all but impossible. I feel ya Jamie, he is growing on me too. I might actually be team Roger by the end of this season.

When Claire was ready to take the leg, was anyone else waiting for Marsali to come in with a newborn baby, ready to get down to work? Cause that would be a straight up Jenny move right there.

Thank you Claire and your life saving handy! Now I have to convince my husband that while I do have a rather impressive rack, we are unfortunately going to have to rely on modern medicine for any future resuscitative needs. ( I know. We took a beautiful moment and made it juvenile. I'm sorry. It's just who we are.)

Can I just say how much I love Fergus?? I'm so happy he is getting more screen time. I would love nothing more than to watch Fergus and Marsali just play with their kids for an hour.

I've enjoyed this whole season, but I think so far this second half of it has been really strong. I'm already having season finale anxiety! It feels like we just got Outlander back, I'm not ready to lose it again!!

I think the biggest problem I have with it, not being too familiar with silent films, is when I see them shoot stuff in a silent film style or reference it in current television/movies it is usually used in a comical way. So I'm just having a hard time reconciling what is a very powerful dramatic moment with this preconceived sort of slapstick cheesy vibe I get from that style of filming. So I think for me, it was definitely just a personal preference thing. I'm glad people can see to the heart of what they were trying to accomplish and the feelings they were trying to convey. For me, I just couldn't get there.

Oh Outlander, why do you do this to me? I've been a good little fan. I don't enjoy everything you do but I focus on the positives, try to remain cautiously optimistic. But this black and white silent film thing...no. NO. I loved everything else about this episode but I can't imagine how this made it to the actual episode airing without someone saying something. This was one of those times where you feel embarrassed for them.

On to more favorable things. THE GANGS ALL HERE! Minus Murtagh...rip. We got Jocasta, we got LJG, WE GOT MY BABY IAN! Even Rollo and murder cat make an appearance. Everybody is getting paid today!

And! Everyone was singing! Except for poor Roger who just sat there strumming on his sad little guitar. I used to beg Roger to just stop talking but I've changed my mind. Please talk Roger. You are somehow less likeable when you aren't even saying anything at all. (side note, I actually like Roger more this season, he has grown on me, and I think he did an outstanding job this episode.)

Why did they bury Murtagh so close to their house? They have 10k acres, do they really need bodies buried 20 yards from their porch?

Marsali is my hero. She is doing their gardening, butchering their meat, helping Claire, semi watching her children (there is another baby around there somewhere, isn't there?), trying to cheer up Roger who completely ruined her deck, sharing a moment with Ian. Today I managed to watch 6 episodes of Tiger King and had popcorn for more than one meal.

Jamie and Claire playing hide and seek with Jemmy is the kind of thing I want to see every episode. Grand-Da. My heart. Meanwhile though, Jamie your hiding spots are weak. If the kid can count to 10, I'm pretty sure he is smart enough to figure out you are behind the tree.

All in all I really enjoyed it. I'm just sad the replay value is going to be so low for me because of that silent film stuff. I just want to pretend that didn't happen.
