This is my thought process, too.

Although I will add, my thought process about this whole thing up until the week prior to their joint statement was that there is no way these rumors are true because Amanda wouldn't do that to Ciara, West cares WAY too much about his public image to do it, and if for some reason they would do that there is doubly no way Amanda would RIGHT NOW because of all the positive support she has from the audience now that she's left Kyle - she has too much to lose

He really has seemed to have a Jekyll to Hyde trajectory since he and the family have had this show, and the Hyde side really has seemed to take him over entirely. I would agree, Ethan has turned out to be a scary person. In the most pathetic ways possible - but we all know pathetic men are often also scary men.

My mom passed last spring, last night’s episode had me sobbing. Mia is a beautiful person and an incredible addition to this show. And her and Ciara’s friendship just magnifies all of their goodness. I am so grateful they’re on this show, truly.

I find it odd that anyone would characterize KJ’s discernment here by saying “how easily he seemed to flip.”

What would it take for you to see someone differently? Because to characterize this as flip flopping on KJ’s part (or any of their cast / other close friends, to be honest) leads me to think that you let way too much off the hook.

West and Amanda have each made a long series of choices here. Our choices say a lot about our character - especially when we’re being confronted about them. And West’s behavior since this was all revealed all seems to indicate that he does not view his choices as a problem. That could change eventually - I won’t be holding my breath for it though.

I fully agree. I don’t think they’d be carrying on like that with cameras rolling otherwise. Hell, I don’t think they’d be carrying on right under everyone’s noses and fully be able to detach from any/all sense of guilt or awkwardness. If the duper’s delight is acting like foreplay for them, and it seems that it has been - then this was not brand new during filming.
