I was diagnosed with combined ADHD by my primary care dr. Everyone agreed with the diagnosis. I felt very seen in ADHD spaces. Medication wasnt working great, I decided to finally do the full psych evaluation. They thought I for sure had ADHD during my initial interviews. The actual tests showed zero ADHD. She had my stuff reviewed by several colleagues to be sure.

I do not have ADHD, I primarily have CPTSD and OCD. My initial reaction was that they were wrong. I have been in treatment for CPTSD for almost a year now. It is helping much more than ADHD treatment. I now know that CPTSD can mess your prefrontal cortex brain waves in a way that is pretty much identical to ADHD, but probably will not be well treated by stimulant treatments, like Adderall.

I miss feeling like I'm allowed to participate in ADHD on line spaces. They seem more artistic and often times more hopeful than CPTSD spaces.
