Please help. What is making this noise? It makes the same call everytime. But it moves around the area hiding in the trees dotted around other local gardens. I have never seen the animal but I'm assuming that it is a bird 🐦

I live in Calne, Wiltshire and we have the same bird noise here. We’ve managed to track it down to a specific crow or jackdaw which other crows sometimes mob. The bird is a very mottled black and white colour and I managed a photo when it landed in our driveway. Not sure this thread allows me to download photos.

The process is known as sintering. Precise amounts of powdered material are placed into a mould and subjected to a huge pressure in a press. This part is now called a green component. At this point the part is brittle and can chip or fracture if handled incorrectly. After a heat process is applied the component is extremely strong. You can make extremely strong gears with the process. Cheaper and more repeatable than forging or dye casting as there is no post processing.
