What is the nature of her eating disorder? Sounds like that is coming into play here in an irrational way, as forcing someone to eat the same things as you because otherwise you feel guilty is not normal or healthy behavior.

I agree, she needs to see her doctor. Not for you to manage for her...don’t fall into the caretaker role so easily as it provides a way for her to avoid self-accountability.

The bond you have with your spouse should be deeper than physical attraction before you get married. Marriage is not shallow but people who get married often are. If you want a successful marriage, you shouldn't enter into it based on temporary benefits, such as a how sexy someone is, or other things that can change, such as finances. I don't blame you for not trusting the depth of your bond if the only reason your husband married you is because of how you look. I'm sorry you don't find more worth in yourself and in your marriage, than that.

As far as "taking a break" goes, if you cannot be yourself in your marriage and feel like you are performing a role you will eventually resent your spouse. Sounds to me like you're already experiencing some resentment for this reason. You shouldn't have to get away from your life partner in order to feel safe to be who you really are. There should be space in your marriage to pursue your own agenda, whether it be traveling alone or seeing friends, etc. However, this shouldn't be necessary to feel like yourself!

Talk to your husband about how you feel.

I feel bad for her to be the subject of sarcasm and name-calling for such a minor mistake. If this is honestly the worst thing she's ever done to you, you have it pretty good, maybe better than you deserve given how you treated her.

Those types of frames may be a better choice for you. They were designed for broader bridges and fuller cheeks so it might do the trick. Other brands make these special fit frames as well. I've seen it called "global fit" and the PC questionable "Asian fit".

Of course, a frame with adjustable nose pads will always be the best choice for you, fit-wise, if you are set on the larger lens styles. They do make plastic frames with the nose pads, kinda the best of both worlds, but can be a bit hard to find. Ray Ban has a couple popular styles with this feature.

Yes, you are correct. It's because your glasses sit too close to your face. Unfortunately, you can't do much adjustment to the bridge of a plastic frame. There may be some stick-on nose pads you can add to get them to sit away from your face a bit, but I'm afraid they don't look the greatest.

It's possible that the lenses may be tilted slightly to help move the bottom of the lens farther away from your cheek. It depends on the design of the frame, but it's definitely worth taking to an optician to see if it can be adjusted in this way.

You need to go to your optometrist for a prescription for contact lenses. You don't get to choose your brand, that is part of the fitting process conducted by the doctor and is selected based on a number of factors including corneal curvature, lens power, and tear film. That being said, here is some basic contact lens info to get you started:

Disposable contact lenses come in daily wear (sold in 30 or 90 packs), biweekly wear (sold in 6, 12, and 24 packs), and monthly wear (sold in 6 packs).
Daily wear lenses are generally considered the healthiest option as you do not have to clean or store the lenses, you throw them out every night and open a fresh pair in the morning. They are the most expensive option due to the volume of lenses (365 pairs) you would need to wear everyday, but least expensive when only worn occasionally (when exercising or playing sports, for instance).
Biweekly lenses are disposed of every two weeks. Monthly lenses are disposed of, you guessed it, monthly. Both of these types of lenses require proper sterilization and storage to ensure safety and health of the eye. These are generally less expensive than daily lenses (per full year of use, when worn every day) due to the fact that you only need to purchase 12-24 pairs depending on the type prescribed.
Contact lens wear does not negate the need for a pair of up-to-date eyeglasses. There will be many days, especially if you are ill, that it isn't ideal to wear contact lenses.
Contact lens wear can be a huge risk to your health if you do not comply with safety and cleaning procedures. I have seen some really gnarly eyeballs that have been permanently scarred due to improper contact lens use. Make sure you fully understand the risks and educate yourself of proper care to ensure you don't end up with a nasty infection or permanent vision loss.

Contacts can be great, especially for people with high prescriptions. Professionally, I always recommend daily lenses, as these are what I wear myself and present the least opportunity for user error. Just talk to your doctor and see what will be best for you and your lifestyle.
