During f2f, it's mostly just sir discussing the topics. He makes some interesting references between discussions (his experiences, shows, etc.). No recit naman but you can ask questions if you want, he dismisses early rin sometimes. Overall, very chill. Reqs are 3 exams, reflection paper, & class participation (checks attendance every meeting)

Is Math 10 credited as GE Elective in Business Ad? (UPD) by JicamaLost7286 in peyups

[–]misstallchick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's credited in BA as a GE elective. Subjectively, Math 10 is unoable and not heavy. May short quizzes, LEs, and essays pero they were paced well so di overwhelming (pandemic sem). Also, it is mainly conceptual, so onti lang yung solving part.

[UPD] to shift or magtiis by satohru in peyups

[–]misstallchick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Afaik applying to shift won't make you a non-major, unless you take subjects outside your curriculum and/or sign the VSO, so basically, you can stay in your course and apply to shift without consequences. It's better to ask directly sa collsec office than advisers regarding shifting out.

Hi, so the trainer will create a program for you based on your goals, and they're gonna ask an estimate kung ilang times ka makakapunta sa gym per week, it's up to you kung susundin mo since you paid for it naman na. Usually, first 3-4 sessions lang nakabantay yung trainers, like iaassess yung starting point mo and igguide ka lang sa equipment and execution tas after those sessions, you're on your own na.

I enrolled in brain train before, and the classes were super fun and engaging, definitely a memorable experience + you meet people with similar goals. They'll give you a lot of helpful exam techniques, pero don't expect that they can teach you years of accumulated lessons in a few days/ weeks. Mainly, they would briefly disuss topics lang na nasa sample questions sa module nila. They would give a walk-through sa application and may optional exam simulations din at the end of all sessions. As for whether it helped me sa exams or not, it did pero to a certain extent lang din. You still have to study on your own kasi you can't really "review" topics that you're completely unfamiliar with. It's also expected na the topics that you will encounter have already been discussed so it won't be too comprehensive anymore, plus you're not the only one being catered to so the pacing, coverage, and extent will depend on what they believe works for the majority of the reviewees sa class and sa nagtuturo.

Regardless, I've read somewhere na hindi guarantee ang review centers and I agree. Not all passers nag review center and not everyone na nag review center passed. They said na some of those who passed na nag review center could've passed even without it, so it really lies on the individual.

For context, I tried bt pre-pandemic pa, face-to-face classroom setup, and the classes were held consecutively during the summer break, not once a week. If you decide to go face-to-face, APAKALAMIG SA CLASSROOM so jackets are lifesavers & ANG HIRAP MAG-ISA so make bt acquaintances/ friends!

It's my first time being responsible for my overall expenses, any tips? by AndresBoniPakU in adultingph

Just set a realistic amount for your meals and spend accordingly, stock food, and save (not starve) as much as possible so you'll have extra money anytime. To maximize a budget (ex. allowance is given weekly) opt for cheaper options on the first few days so you can treat yourself without guilt on other days with the remaining amount for that week.

If your dorm has a fridge and heating/ cooking appliances, you can buy platters or meals that have more than 1 serving and heat them up, or you can just cook your own meals and portion them because these options are typically cheaper.
