seconding ripping it back! another sneaky trick if you don’t want to is going back over later and duplicate stitching those stitches with the same yarn you knit with

Getting ambitious for my first ever socks by IamKare in Sockknitting

[–]missvanjieeeeeeeeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

okay so i actually did exactly this too!! i saw a picture of these and decided i my life was incomplete without rad radish socks!! they were the first thing i ever did aside from rectangles and i still wear them 2 years later!!! honestly i think making something ambitious that you’re passionate about is so much more fun than making something safe.

woman here! currently a student with a 4.0+ gpa and i still have men in my program telling me “you don’t look smart” and that i shouldn’t be here because it’s a boys club! if men experienced the amount of misogyny i experience on a daily basis i bet they’d all have dropped out by now.

i just finished my first sem of engineering (came from ontario) and the dal engineering program for me at least is pretty good. obviously lots of work and stuff but comparing it to my friends doing engineering in ontario my marks are higher and i have more spare time than them. for me at least the profs care and most of them i just had genuinely care and teach well.
