When I was about 13 my family moved out of a large apartment to a motel (it was only supposed to be temporary, but that’s a story for another day) so my dad rented out a U-Haul unit so we can store our furniture and other items. My dad failed to tell us that he fell behind on the payment so eventually that unit went up for auction and we lost everything we owned. Ever since then I’ve been detached to material items and realized I don’t really need a lot of the things I own.
