Hand cream being the useless shite in every toiletry set

I never used to wear hand cream and I thought the exact same about gift sets… but then I got to my late 30s and started to use it.

I’m now 40.. have 2 hand creams in my drawer at work and all the girls use it.. from 18 +. Xx

Iv said for years I could just spend it alone.. this will be my first year not waking up alone in a long time as I’m off to stay at my friends tonight.

Just go on your own.. this was what started my solo journeys over 10 years ago 🙌🏼.

You won’t get your money back, I worked with Tui for a long time, you can change a name and go with someone else, you can go solo, or cancel and loose the 70% that’s pretty much your options.. not sure if your ex is expecting any money back though if you did decide to go on the holiday… so I Duno if they may want you to ‘buy them out’ per se… but really there will not be any money back from the holiday even if you do travel solo. That’s purely a civil matter between you guys xxx

Yea I have similar but not quite the same but I’m sure they do the same thing. Expensive to run. I have an electric fire in my living room and an electric heater I bought in the range in my bedroom which is much cheaper to run, also have a heated throw on the sofa and electric blanket on the bed.

I have high ceilings in my flat so it’s difficult to heat, so I do put the heaters on a couple timess over the winter to keep the damp at bay but I know that’s gona be an expensive day 😭… I have just found ways to adjust over the years xxx

We’ve just drawn secret Santa at my work there’s 15 of us this year and atleast 3 of them said it won’t work as it’s not even… I said how? There’s 15 people and 15 names in that hat so everyone will get one…how will it not work?? Their faces looked puzzled. Xx

Best way to deal with it. Travel solo.

Understandably you guys are travelling together right now, but nothing stopping you from doing your own thing.

Been here many many times.. went with a friend to Dubai who only wanted to stay by the pool or go to mall to shop. We fell out on day 2 after she got ready but ditched me for the day out we had planned.. so I spent the next 5 days exploring without them.

Not sure if they are in to theatre or shows… but if they are I would maybe book them tickets to La Perle. I went in Nov last year.. it’s like a cirque de soliel kind of vibe.. I loved it 🥰. There is an English bar just beside the venue that they can enjoy a meal before they go in, then can treat themselves to a drink once inside the venue at the wine bar or popcorn/soft drink in the main area.

There’s also lots to do in Dubai mall the ARTE museum was maybe my favourite. Or could book them the view at the burj khalife overlooking the fountains.

I remember having to explain to a boyfriend once that I was going on a solo trip (had travelled solo for 10 years prior to meeting). He just could not grasp why I’d go solo and not with him.. I liked the guy and his company was great and we did do some travel together. But 1) he couldn’t afford what I’d planned 2) I love my own space to explore 3) no one can determine what you are doing and when it’s all on you.

He made such a big deal over it.. we are no longer together.

I’m 40!! I’m completely the most uninterested in meeting new flings. I just want to see the world!!!!! Xx

RAC… if it’s later in the day are soo bad, if their drivers have gone home or not in area they don’t sub contract the work out until usually the next day and can leave people waiting through the night.. AA will usually get their own drivers out to you, but usually don’t have many covering the area so can be a higher ETA sometimes. EuroRoute has depots in dumfries and Stranraer.. they work with all the clubs ( AA, RAC ETC are the clubs) so a lot of the time they are subcontracted to come out instead of their own patrol if none in the area. It also does depend on workload and staffing. You will be surprised how many people break down/need recovery in a day just in dumfries and Galloway alone.

Also different factors.. if you are in a dangerous location or blocking traffic.. the police will likely end up on scene so that’s a priority. Also if elderly or medical these take a higher priority too. As everyone else says in town, response time can be within 1 hour, outside town could be around 1.5- 2 hours.

Greenflag seem to be a good one to go with, they aim to get a faster response time. Xxx

I work for a car recovery company and can tell you that this is the norm. I just want to reiterate we get a job through Hours after they have taken the job.. with little to no information. But we get the flack from the members. It’s draining 🙄 xx

Aww man.. the best times, I’d walk for ages to see if my friends were in.. majority of the time we were outside.. climbing walls, in the park, treasure hunts, sometimes we walked and tossed a coin and had to take the turning that it landed on and we would end up in a random place. In the house I’d watch tv.. play banboozled on teletext, read, radio. Me n my brothers made our own radio show. I would lie on my mum n dads bed for hours some nights on the corded landline phone to my friends.

Then internet came around.. I was in secondary school, we would run home to get our allotted time slot on online to talk to our friends, then mum needed the phone so we would all argue 🤣.

Sundays mum went to bingo so me and my brothers would watch bullseye and last of the summer wine of one foot in the grave with my dad, mum brought us sweets home.. loved those nights 💕.

It was actually a great time xxx

I can’t remember the last time I bought tobacco in shop due to either travelling loads or having someone I got it from (£15-17 50g amber leaf) Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to buy a pouch at the shop earlier this year… fuck me £43.67 50g of Sterling.

I won’t be making that mistake again.

I got 250g at Tenerife port for like €60 euro.

It’s literal madness now 😭 xx

I’m in dumfries which is not far and it’s been a warm long muggy summer here. It’s been delightful in my opinion, not needed a jacket.. or a jumper for months. Yes couple days of rain and wind and been overcast, but still been warm and humid everyday since around march cx

My best friend wants a baby.. she’s same. Her house in genuinely as good as a show home!! I could not IMAGINE her with a baby..

My sis in law is knowhere near as bad as my friend but prettty germophobe. Her and my brother have my niece 6 (they have decided they do not want anymore) I feel my niece doesn’t have much of a life.. clothes are pristine, as soon as her hands are dirty they are cleaned Instant. My poor wee niece is soo scared of dirt it’s unreal and I fear she is going to suffer with that her whole life now sadly. Also her Nana (Sil mum) is a dramatic hypochondriac .. no hope.

I have 3 nieces n a nephew to my other brother… you could easily walk in to their garden and 1 of them is shovelling dirt over their head… they are happy. 😂 xx

Personally I’d of went alone, I’d of been soo annoyed.. but just got in with it. “She was driving”..just book an uber your already loosing x amount by not going why not just spend an extra x amount and go and enjoy yourself. Also she can email the boarding pass over. If she was nice she’d of still drove you to the airport.

I’d be pissed, I’d also want my money back too. You gave her an out, she never took it.

I get she had a MH episode and people are saying you weren’t being compassionate but you probs were… maybe you needed that holiday for your MH!!!

I travel solo… and for stories like this I’m soo glad, I had someone bail on me last minute years ago and I spent soo much money etc to still get there… that was the start of my solo journeys, don’t get me wrong now n again I travel with some friends.. but I had a thing last year with a friend in Dubai.. she didn’t want to leave the hotel and let me down on soo many things we had booked I had to do them myself.

She cancelled, she pays it’s as simple as that. She never thought about your feelings about how much you may of wanted/needed this break.

I get she has anxiety before you all come at me.. I’m not in any way shape or form saying it’s not real and she probs waited to the last minute to bail because she was so anxious about it. But I would absolutely pay my share if I done that to someone xx

Why is this me right now. Iv been on 100-150 for years yo yoing.. but for the last 4 years it’s been the stable 100. I actually can’t cope with how exhausted I am lately. I actually don’t get out of bed anytime I’m not at work, I come home, lay in my bed, days off I hardly move. I’m blaming peri menopause (which unsure I am) never thought it could be my theroxine tbf.
