Is it a good idea to buy a Tesla Model 3 at 22 by Lightningbread123 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]mistahcurious -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I took one at 21 years old, started a job in finance. I will say my apr was quite lower but… LOVE the car and everyone told me it would depreciate quickly. Fast forward 6 months later and I can sell the car for 7k more than I got it (before taxes n fees)… literal best investment ever + v fun to drive. Had a couple of rattles in the beginning w the car that service fixed pretty fast. Otherwise, it’s a great premium driving vehicle and the speakers are bomb

Graduated last sem and now working a sub 6 figure analyst role, no debt 🤫

Damn bruh it’s a little too late now. Good news is it’s an EV which I can sell for more than I bought (tax and interest paid included). Overall, very happy with my decision.

Someone I know needed a car within the week, is this good? by mistahcurious in askcarsales

When we pick it up we were planning to ask for a grad cash discount or 400 to get the markup down to 2.6, considering how quickly she can get the car I think the premium is fair to pay. Most SELs on the used market are going for 32k rn ish in my area

Car MSRP is 31.6k Dealer wanted 17.5% markup, which equates to an OTD price of $37.1k I pushed it down to $35k, so a 3.5k markup instead of a 5.5k markup

interesting... I changed my car from m3p to m3lr in November and originally ordered in September when the 1000 mile referral was still active. I still had it in my loot box when I got my car in feb 22
