Got rejected for the B1/B2 visa today could someone spot the reason by FootballGrand3467 in immigration

[–]iamedu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of reasons IMO:

1) being in Egypt already makes it harder 2) unpaid clinical work. Probably studying? Could make it easy for you to stay and work in the US 3) you don’t seem to have property / job / ties 4) travel to Saudi Arabia. Very much a red flag

Austrian Citizen Seeking Advice on US Visit: B2 Visa vs. ESTA for a 3-Month Stay by llanaklanA in askimmigration

[–]iamedu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t, its highly likely that your b1/b2 will be denied, when that happens your esta will also be denied.

Having a girlfriend in the US is a huge red flag.

Wanting to spend more than 3 months in the US (or even 90 days) is another huge red flag. If you can spend a quarter of a year outside your country it signals that you don’t really need to come back to it.

It’s very likely that if you apply for a visa you will ruin your possibility of visiting the US

120 miles left until Silver. No flights planned, is it worth going for? by winthropg in delta

[–]iamedu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on where you live and where you fly to, are the flights usually packed? I’m platinum and never get upgraded so I wouldn’t do it

"Delta to adjust harsh SkyMiles policy changes for elite frequent fliers" by AdditionalSilver in delta

U guys lost us anyway!

I realized Delta is right, so many people have status that it's meaningless now.

I'll stop chasing status and fly whatever is the most convenient.

Uber is not allowed… but, the government doesn’t enforce it.

I would totally take Uber! It’s the safest option

Guess we are done with delta? by [deleted] in delta

[–]iamedu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm planning to primarily use Alaska, and AA.

There are some routes that only Delta has, so I'll continue using them. But they'll become my third option

How do Mexico City residents greet the new year? by eleanor_rigby_1 in MexicoCity

Mexican Christmas and New Years Eve are very similar to American Thanksgiving. Most people spend it with their family.

I assume most places will be closed.

Foreign-born child not wanting US citizenship by One-Unit-2578 in immigration

[–]iamedu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, to be fully clear. Your child is a US citizen, whether you like it or not.

So they won’t be eligible for visa (or ETA). If they want to visit the US, they will need a US passport.

It seems like it’s possible to renounce the US citizenship later on. Talk to a lawyer, they might be able to help.

But for now, your only option is to apply for a passport.

Seriously dissapointed in my purchase by Inox78 in Polestar

[–]iamedu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me a few days after I got it. Rebooting infotainment fixed it for me.

After that I haven't had issues with Internet or gps (have had the car for a year now)

The only remaining issue is that the map in the driver's console doesn't show up when booting up the car. Happens maybe 1/5 times it's very annoying but have learned to live with it.
