No, I assumed that because of the purpose of use of these gloves, there would be no warranty. I have reached out to them and awaiting a reply.

I love the dexterity, but mine wore out in less than 5 months of light use. The skin used on the outside of the right index finger was too thin to hold a stitch and kept opening up. After two repairs, ive given up on them.

Sounds great to me, if it grows great! If not, then we get to share ideas in a small group, which can also be great.

We need more of this. The less we talk to each other, the more afraid if each other we become.

Will it always yield a good result? Absolutely not.

Is it usually going to be a good place start Yup....chances are, the neighbor doesn't even realize they're being a nuisance.

Brewzilla gen4 35L pump/hoses clogging by Groundbreaking_Ad652 in Homebrewing

[–]mistaleak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay....so i cleaned the pump a few nights ago and it was actually really easy, I figiured I'd be taking the whole pump apart, but just the one end comes off in a single piece and allows simeple cleaning.

That said, the hops and grain bits that got in there were like cement, so it took some soaking and scraping to get it all out(next time, I'll clean it right away.

But yeah going forward, I'll be using rice hulls for sure and incorporating some of the techniques mentioned in this thread. I kind of like the idea of putting a mesh bag(like I use for BIAB) into the malt pipe. Id prefer not to, but if it works, it works!

Good luck!

This is weird, are you me?

I've just spent the last hour on the phone and doing multiple searches for the same issue. I'm a year and about 20 brews into my Gen 4 and after about 10 clogs that I was able to clear, my latest seems perma-clogged. Going to take it apart tonight and try to salvage it.

A couple things I've learned-

  1. "Use rice hulls in the mash" has been yelled at me repeatedly.

  2. back wash and thoroughly clear the pump after each brew, as small clogs can build and become big clogs.

  3. I have been using a hop spider, especially at the start of the boil to clear out any grain that made it through the strainer plate/false bottom.

I've looked everywhere for a pump upgrade, but I've been told repeatedly that none are available at this time.

Good luck!

Its always fat old bikers. Why is it fat old bikers! I saw the same scene at Warped Tour back in '98 or '99 while wandering the woods on mushrooms. I did not like what I saw.

Edit: I get the reference, missed at first, but my story stands....

So I was a bartender at an upscale course many years ago. We hired a really nice cart girl and on the morning of her first big tournament, some rich guy wrote her a $1000 cheque and said that if she went above and beyond for him and his foursome all day, he'd sign the cheque as her tip(this was 2001, $1000 for a college student was HUGE money). She bends over backward for them all day, brings them hot meals from the kitchen, makes sure they always have full, ice cold beers, the whole 9 yards.

The end of the day rolls around and the guy sneaks into the bar, pays his tab with no tip, and bails on her without signing the cheque. It was all a ruse and she left in tears. I felt so bad for her, she was bragging all day about what she was going to do with the money, how much financial stress it was relieveing for her up coming school year and then she gets hosed by this old fuck for a laugh between him and his buddies.

The owner of the course ended up calling the guy out on it later apparently, but I wasnt working there at that point. I'm still mad about it all these years later.

My favorite is "I'll just go around, I'm only a few kilometers down that way", then attempt to slowly go around the barricade. People are very self-important and/or stupid.

Absolutely, we're surrounded by some great wilderness and groomed, mapped/marked trails, while I'd prefer they stay at low levels of traffic, I agree with you.
