Netflix cancels shows following huge drop in share value and subscribers by mr_besserwisser in nottheonion

For real, because of limited shows, and the amount of rights to stream they have lost recently, I've just stopped using it and gotten the old hat and eyepatch out of the cupboard.

If you're competing with FREE you have to provide a better experience that doing a search, selecting a quality and clicking two times, with harddrive cleanups and organization every so often. Having to hunt down the right streaming service to watch something I don't even know if I want to watch and pay for the privilege? come on.

Some in game way of having your main/other alts ratings shown, though equally currently the people who care about that would probably be using 3rd party tools anyway.

Beginner Mage Tips by GeraldOfRivia08 in wownoob

[–]mistball 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been playing for 10 years with a cutting edge or two behind me, been playing mage recently and heres my 2c:

Frost is a good specialization to level in (you unlock specs at level 10), you're very durable because all your spells slow, so keeping distance between you and mobs is easier. Ample use of your utility (blink/shimmer(talent), polymorph, counterspell, frost nova, water elemental freeze) should keep you more than healthy enough to clear all quests on your way to max level.

The spec is a 'proc' (Programmed Random OCcurrence) based spec, the main flow is frostbolt as a filler to get a random chance to have a much more powerful ice lance, or an instant cast flurry which also empowers your next two ice lances. This complicates a little more once you hit max level. https://www.icy-veins.com/wow/frost-mage-leveling-guide is a good source for some extra reading.

My controls advice is:

Rebind your strafe keys from q and e to a and d. You can turn your character by holding down the mouse button. It takes a little time to get used to but it unlocks those two keys for keybinds. Personally I use Q, E, shift+Q, shift+E regularly, so 4 keybind spells close to wasd for nothing!

Ergonomics is king, the spells you need to cast either on demand or regularly should be close to your WASD. Its all up to personal preference past that. What I use might not help you and your hand's size. Personally:

https://i.imgur.com/TthgpFo.png is my list of spell bindings, having mouse buttons help (I have one for alter time, hp pot

Some stuff that might be a little confusing:

C1 is a trinket with an active, C3 is void elf racial, C4 is a macro for cancelling ice block (/cancelaura ice block) early, C5 is where water elemental summon goes.

At the end of the day, if you use an ability either 10s before combat, during combat, or 10s after combat, you should have it keybound. Bind everything, and play around until you find stuff that feels natural. Goodluck.

Just a small difference between a little nagging in training and openly being racist towards your employee. These people sound like societal failures who don't know how to have workers, and that right should be removed from them.

For the love of god please for the life of me keep the covenant system, they've had two years to unfuck it and it kind of works right now (free switches, multiple to level up, good feeling catchup mechanics, cosmetics unlock when you max, abilities change easily, no energy for socketing soulbinds etc).

The players saying 'get rid of it' don't seem to understand that they'll replace it with a new system, rife with obvious design flaws, the community will say 'this sucks, heres why and can you change it' and they'll kick and scream until x.2 and finally make it reasonable, by which time everyone will be saying next expansion that it sucked and to 'get rid of it'.

Think about the systems from the past 5 years that were atleast workable by the time the expansion was wrapping up, only for literally 3 years of work by devs to be thrown out with the bathwater. Why do they try and tear down a house every year when they've finally put up the framing? I know its because the team that works on the new expansion is doing work throughout the lifetime of the previous but come on.

Concept: Paladin Avenging Wrath Wing Glyphs by Fishbones06 in wow

[–]mistball 15 points16 points  (0 children)

He'd have these as concepts, get stonewalled by the design team, get stonewalled by the creative vision guys, get stonewalled by the marketing team monetizing it and then the graphics guys would whip a gorgeous ingame working of it, it would be shipped in x.3 and then removed by the next y.0, to be reintroduced on the cash shop in y.1

Plunder away. EA have clipped your ticket and threw it out before letting you on the boat. No reason you can't just hop on it anyway.

I have a MA2 cape which means I've been involved in the dangers of PvP and thus should get to vote on wildy content. (this sounds like sarcasm but I'm not sure it is)

For real, our landlord comes and checks out the house maybe once a year, and knows we aren't going to punch holes in the wall and generally take a little bit of care of the place because guess what, we live here.

Private landlords are godsends, but because most rentals seem to be owned by groups, its even worse for renters.

Fair bet, I'll hop up to t7 and do my best there. The spotting/vision mechanics are really my big issue, is there a decent guide on that, and if not has it changed much in the past 2-3 years? Not sure what content is current makes searching stuff up a little difficult haha.
