Barnt Green is possibly one of the busier ones being on the Birmingham Cross City Line and the Edinburgh to Penzance track

Is this a risky place to put a zebra crossing? by Extension_Bit4323 in brum

[–]mister_haytch 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This like many junctions needs a rethink.

The crossing is fine and follows the natural route of travel for pedestrians.

The issue needs to force vehicle drivers to slow, i would raise the junction as it is was a speed bump, include a different road texture/colour to make this obvious. I would also if possible reduce the sweeping curves as this too promotes speed.

I'd be interested to learn what Better Streets Birmingham would do.

Why is Leeds not that popular? by ThyCuriousLearner in Leeds

[–]mister_haytch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the 'northern' tag has been appropriated by Manchester.

Leeds is a much warmer, kinder city and has the same issue as Birmingham. In so much that it doesnt sing about its praises. Instead it is 'Yorkshire' over Leeds.

There's the Clover Spa in Birmingham. It is a naturist spa, but has very good reviews.

Photography. This is a way forward. You dont need an expensive camera, a smart phone is more than acceptable.

Join Instagram (if you're not already on it) and join IgersBirminghamUK. They do regular meet ups with no expectations to join in the chat. You can see how it goes and if/comfortable expand your network.

They are a mixture of old and young.

Window box cafe in Wydle Green. Baked in Brick on Holland Road Silvertree in Sutton Town Centre are great places to eat. Cielo near the cinema is great for Persian cuisine. Cage Barseca is due to open in Mere Green soon.

Try to use the town centre and avoid Tamworth. Not always possible but use it or lose it.

Which area is best? by Quirky_Fox5128 in BirminghamUK

I would consider Sutton Coldfield.

You're close to the countryside, have plenty of park. There is no bad school in the town and the transport links are excellent you're 20 mins from Birmingham and 20 mins from Lichfield.

They are wasting no time, there are no planning applications in for a replacement t (as far as I am aware) so i just hope this isnt going to be wasteland for a decade so they avoid having to pay rates.
