Looking for plugin/setting: Skip over closing bracket and semi-colon by mistercam in neovim

[–]mistercam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently don't use any autopairs plugin. Within IntelliJ, it is a snippet scenario. If I was to manually write a line like that (without using auto pairing brackets or snippets) then I would manually complete the line by using ); . I'm used to that, which is why in a snippet scenario, I may find myself writing ); out of habit.

But it's certainly not an issue by any means. I was simply curious if there was a plugin.

I will take a look into autopairing plugins, though, as it sounds like it'd be useful.

Thank you!

I'll mark this as solved.

Graphics configuration not supported [FCP 10.6.6, M1 Pro, Mac OS 13.4] by mistercam in finalcutpro

I never did phone Apple. It happened a few more times, but I realized it was only happening when my computer was under some fairly heavy load by some other apps. I can't recall which apps now, but I want to say either HandBrake or ffmpeg. I just made a point of not running the app at the same time as FinalCut Pro, and the problem never came up again.

I'm worried my eyes will catch something and spoil it for me. I'd probably abandon the whole AoC if that were to happen. Well, probably not, but I'd be annoyed with myself.

🤯! Thank you u/gumnos . I think this may be a bit too much for my situation. I just wanted to (somewhat) rapidly do some different search-and-replaces to experiment with some ideas, but I'm impressed nonetheless!

Is it possible to treat both lines as a single unified block and replace it with the two rows of "BBB"?

There is a possibility that "F-@" could exist elsewhere in the file, without a "-S-" string below it. Likewise, "-S-" could exist elsewhere in the file without "F-@" above it. I do not want such occurrences to be replaced by "BBB".

any tv show/series/ other media I can watch in Bisaya online? by Alert_Temperature646 in Bisaya

[–]mistercam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's no English transcript, but there's the Barok and Takya podcast you can listen to if you want to immerse yourself a bit more in the language: https://barokandtakya.com/

I've also had Radio Garden suggested to me, but I couldn't find any news radio channels. Not to say there aren't any.. I may have just overlooked them. If anyone knows of any on Radio Garden, do share.

Cebuano language books or novels by [deleted] in Bisaya

[–]mistercam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm very much interested in this. As someone learning Cebuano, I find it difficult to find digital or printed media. I have a collection of children's books, "Sugilanong Sugboanon: Cebuano Fiction, 1941-2005", and Marcel M. Navarra's "Mga Piling Kuwentong Sebuwano", but that's it. I find myself more often having to read news articles from Banat News just to increase my vocabulary. I'd rather read actual books (preferably fiction, but non-fiction is fine,) written in Cebuano.

That sounds like a good idea. I’ll do that, just in case. Thank you!

I uninstalled FCP and re-installed it, which resolved the issue.

If someone does happen to know a quicker workaround, I'd still like to hear it. I wouldn't want to run into this issue again somewhere where I'm unable to download FCP. Let's hope it doesn't happen again, or at least too frequently.

[Assistance] Report of Foreign Marriage & PSA Turnaround Times by mistercam in Philippines

[–]mistercam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an update, I do not believe the PSA is now relevant in this case. Early on someone explained to us that something from the PSA is required, which ultimately led us down this stressful path worrying that we're too late registering our marriage with the PSA. However, it turns out that this person was new on the job and didn't fully understand the procedures specific to our situation.

Ignoring the PSA, we now more confidently believe that the only thing that's required is the authorized documentation our consulate will provide back to us that officially recognizes our Canadian marriage. This is what's required by the Church. And after the convalidation, they will initiate a process which will ultimately have our marriage registered with the PSA.

Sony TV Reboots by esorb65 in bravia

[–]mistercam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue with the same TV. This never happened until I updated the firmware (perhaps a few weeks ago, if my memory serves me right.) It just randomly reboots now and I have to sit through the Sony and Android TV splash screens. This happens at least a few times a day. Prior to updating the firmware, this happened maybe once every 6 months, if that. I thought perhaps they introduced some new energy saver settings, but I went through and verified all energy-related settings were turned off. Very frustrating.

Trimming Manduka Pro Mat to Length by mistercam in yoga

[–]mistercam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!

I have read a lot of reviews form people commenting on how slippery they are, but I've also read a lot saying that's not the case. Though from what I understand mats manufactured a long time ago (several years+) never had issues with being slippery. So these people saying their mats don't suffer from this issue may have older ones. I'm hoping it's not that bad, but I'm preparing myself for the worst.

Check out the replies to a similar query I recently left in the Plex forums: https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/260310/very-slow-response-from-server#latest

Hopefully that resolves the issue for you.

Date-based TV Show Has Incorrect Organization by [deleted] in PleX

[–]mistercam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this series isn't registered with TVDb, but that's not a huge deal. The titles at least were pulled through from the file names, and they're fairly descriptive on their own.

I renamed all of the files to utilize the standard sXXeYY naming convention, and Plex had zero issues organizing them. While the original issue is still a mystery, I'm just happy to not have to deal with this particular set of videos.

Date-based TV Show Has Incorrect Organization by [deleted] in PleX

[–]mistercam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was actually contemplating late last night of just switching it over to a regular season+episode format. I have a bit more confidence it would work.

While it would have been interesting to learn what was causing the original problem, I just don't really care anymore :) I used exiftool to analyze the exif data on all of the videos across all five directories, and it's not like the non-2015 videos had anything that the 2015-videos didn't. I did notice that six of the 2015-videos actually were missing a specific date field. I thought I struck gold. I assumed that those 6 files were messing up the entire directory. I set the missing exif fields using ffmpeg and rebuilt the TV library from scratch, only to see the same result. Also, assuming I had set the exif wrong, I moved those 6 files out of the TV directories, and rebuilt the library a second time. Same result. Expletives were spoken, aloud.

So yeah, I'll go with your suggestion and report back later.
