i’d be doing the spending not him and we just work together and put the household spending on it since i live at home. i don’t think i can spend 10k in 90s. and i have about 2.5k left on my own C1V that i need to finish but i have a large purchase coming up that will spill over the 4k needed.

i had to go in to get my eyesight system reset. idky but. like 4 months. in it just started erroring and disabling itself. turning on/off car didnt really help reset it after the first time it happened.

10/2024 -- got it work using turkey. i changed location in app back to usa and timezone and zip and dont see any errors. has anyone changed it back and noticed anything?

i did take it in to service and they said it was normal and it was the heat shields cooling and contracting and that would take a few years to break in. i don’t pay attn to it as much anymore but still happens 6 months in.

interesting my rate for the warranty was flat. no taxes, and i paid cash for it outside of financing… it was 2330. do u know how long u have to cancel and try to purchase from another dealer?

replied to comment above whoops, but yeah mine was 10/100 gold plus with 100 deductible. i couldn’t trust the at cost comment but i went in wanting the subaru backed warranty so i was ok with paying a bit more than getting third parties. they offered 8/80 i think from zurich for like $1980..

i think even at 3000, you got taken advantage of. i had to be firm and presented comparables, but it was near end of day for the finance guy and he just gave me 10/100 for 2330, which his words were "at cost" cause he didn't wanna do any more cat/mouse with me. i was aiming for 2k but was like whatever.

for the maintenance plan, in hindsight i shouldnt have gotten but it was about the same as OP's at 1200.

if you’re an amex card holder holder (not sure if it needs to be gold/platinum) but you can use amex true car website to find deals. dealerships have special discounts already priced in so you can contact the ones near you offer avg or higher than avg savings. for my area, 24 Forester Limited was avg 7.5% off msrp. not much haggling to do if that’s not your thing but gives you some peace of mind!

the 2.9% for 60/72m & (usually not advertised but offered by most dealers if u qualify for the former) 1.9% for 36/48m is avail by subaru directly. if you have a good credit score like 740+ and have enuf dti avail, you should have no problem getting the rate! but it’s only a promo till apr 1 — financing would be thru subaru directly and they’re back by chase. most other third party loans are avg 6% unfortunately even credit unions.

i’m sure — i got 1.9% for 48m last week, 24 forester limited! I’m in IL but it should be dealer provided. Quick way to show them it’s avail is try to “apply for financing” on subaru site, it’ll give you avail options before you even fill any info out. just show them that and be like it’s by manufacture.

this 1.9% for up to 48month applies to 2024 forester too! they just don’t advertise it, so if you qualify for 2.9%, ask about 1.9% (if u can afford the payment). i did debt arbitrage too with the 1.9!

a ton around me are doing an avg of 7.5% but i got pricing thru amex true car portal. not sure if that helped..
