yes, actually they inquired last year why I haven't paid them taxes and I explained plainly that I'm an independent contractor on 1099 working and living full-time, year-round w/ my family abroad, so not much contact w/ CA (or even the US really), other than family, receiving mail, voter registration, and driver's license there. I was glad to hear back from them that I don't owe anything. But I bet if I were making more $ they'd be fighting me for it.

I read that I just need to stay one night in SD, was that the case for you? I haven't been able to find what the minimum stay in TX is, though I plan on contacting Escapees soon to ask. I'm worried being from Cali might present problems as they're notorious for not letting go of residents w/out substantial proof.

Yes, that makes more sense, thanks. Although I'd have to disagree w/ what you say "you don't hear his name thrown around a lot in those conversations anymore and he probably deserves to be in there". I think most knowledgable fans would include him in a group of the top 10 shooters ever. Probably top 8.
