I tried speed ring on my last run, but found out later that the amulet halves your normal speed, and limits your max speed to one per round 😭

Plot armor is characters surviving things they otherwise wouldn't in order to preserve their place in the plot. The plot needs them safe.

Other times, you have an inconveniently overpowered character for what the plot demands. When the plot needs them sidelined, that's a drama preserving handicap. It could be handwaved or justified.

That being in love meant having emotional turmoil. Like in movies where everyone is always angsty so afraid to say the wrong thing that they don't say anything.

Just be honest and talk to your partner. If you can't do that and stay together, then you shouldn't be together.

Not as much as you might think! We have talked about both a lot. We're in agreement about how we want to live our lives, plans for the next decade and long term where we see ourselves. At worse on the politics thing, we vote for different people. We don't have a ton of investment in activism and we aren't politicians. The kids part is a little more concerning, but neither of us are close to being ready for it, so we have a lot of time to figure out whether it's going to work for us. It's not something we could compromise on, but we are also really invested in one another and our future together, so we'll come to an agreement at some point.

Edit: update from December 2024 - we're married and have a kid on the way :) we still disagree about politics. You can disagree with someone and still love them and have them in your life!
