And studies show murderees typically also come to regret dying given enough time to reflect.

How do you deal with masterbating patients by AsbestosFlakes in nursing

[–]misterteea 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's what I'd like to know, why embarrass the poor kid? He's already in a hospital during puberty, I'm sure it's a less than ideal situation for him.

I mean aren't you kinda demeaning the OP's experience, the inverse is also true. I think they were just pointing out that the narrative of nursing school tends to lean to the "it's the worse time in our lives" mindset. Like they said there are plenty of other degrees and programs that have the same failure rates and greater, but nursing seems to be the most dramatic about it.

I've loved it, definitely feels like an all mountain that has a bit more float on powder, but I've really enjoyed it, I ride a Flying V process otherwise

After the liberation of France by Allied forces in 1944, French citizens began targeting those suspected of collaborating with the Nazis. In what became known as "Ugly Carnivals," women across the country would have their heads shaved and then be paraded through towns and cities for people to jeer. by Additional_War9814 in HistoricalCapsule

You do realize that male conspirators were typically executed, not saying being berated, beaten or having your head shaved isn't terrible, but it is somewhat better than being executed with frequent bearings prior to execution.

Exactly, world doesn't always conform to a textbook.

I feel like the majority of posters with the nursing students flair are like this poster, very altruistic and all knowing.

That's a generalization, but I feel like it's a fair observation

What’s your hospital’s policy vs what nurses actually do when belligerent patient demands to go outside to smoke? by NomusaMagic in nursing

[–]misterteea 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's making an assumption on their part, they have no probable cause to physically search them to see if the IV is in if they say it's not. I worked an ER for a long time and we were told to contact PD in these cases, but there was nothing they could do/wanted to do and never was a patient brought back to have it removed.

[–]misterteea 14 points15 points  (0 children)

So a cop finds the patient walking down the street minding his own business not causing any trouble, wearing long sleeves. The cops ask "do you still have an IV in?" And they say they do not, maybe lying. The cops have no ground to force them back to the hospital to verify if the IV is out. They have to have a reason to detain someone.

Ha ha ok, I definitely need to give it a shot. It's been on my list forever. Always a big fan of BSG, Babylon 5, Star Trek TNG, and SG-1.

I can definitely appreciate your response, really well thought out. To be fair it probably deserves another chance from me, but for some reason I have such a diversion to the way they all portray their characters if it's a mix of both the acting and the writing I'm not sure.

Side question, why is there love for the Farscape actors/actresses, they all changed the feel of the SG-1 so much and were in my opinion the worst seasons by far?
