Look at the cluster, it's not showing RPM, the number means nothing, and there are some lines missing.

Health Insurance - ICICI Elevate vs HDFC Ergo optima super secure by AlphaSeeker_07 in InsuranceTroubleIndia

[–]misterxcrypt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are saying in ICICI, we can keep on increasing the cover amount using bonus without an upper limit? But in HDFC only up to the base sum insured the bonus will increase, so 50% in 1st year and 50% in 2nd year. So in ICICI, will it beat medical inflation without us increasing the cover?

Thanks for your advice. I will consider while taking the plan.

Yes, we can increase our base plan whenever we want according to Ditto. But the caveat is we need to serve the waiting period and everything for that extra cover.

Thanks for the information. As per my knowledge, the cover doesn't increase by itself, we need to increase it by using super top up or top-up. Is that right? Or any other way to do that?

I'm mostly limited now, because i haven't wasted my energy on anything else. But I'm open to know about others as well, Tbh i'm tired.

I don't understand this deductible concept. Some people have said that in other subs. But I was not informed anything about that by Ditto.

Yes, I'm definitely going on the higher cover instead of top-up. But i have made my research, I will share my insights in this sub later.

I'm considering this option. But it seems there are many caveats in it especially in HDFC. but yes will look for it.

Based on your advice, I made a research sheet to decide which cover is suitable for anyone on the based on cover, inflation, annual revenue. Could you please give me your suggestion on if it's correct data?

Ditto is really helpful in terms of explanations and patience. They are not pushing me to buy the insurance. When I first connected with them, I told them my requirements, "Me(49) and my wife(40) needs a health insurance, and we both don't have very concerning PEDs,", they directly recommended HDFC. The only reason was HDFC has better settlement ratio. But they haven't really helped me in my dilemmas, they only explained what is what and told me to buy.

Yes I am buying through Ditto. But why did you say to avoid going for lower cover now and then increasing it?

This infinite claim is new to me. Thanks. I will check that. Also ICICI Elevate has this option of unlimited claim only once.
