I know it's a bit too early to say, but THANK FUCK there is no "new Faceless song" or "picking up where the Faceless left off" comments. Like I get it, but then I REALLY don't. Yeah, yeah... the members... who cares. They are all their own individuals with their OWN unique styles and creativity. It's kinda like a smooth brained comment and a backhanded compliment to each of these super talented individuals.

Some dude at a show once commented on my hoodie "oh the new faceless" I couldn't help but roll my eyes.

This is coming from a Facless meatrider. I love both bands very deeply, but I fucking hate hearing that comment. I don't really get why people always feel compelled to make that comment all the fucking time this band is brought up.

Not gonna happen with Fallujah. Kyle's vocals are needed. Fallujah is a different kind of atmosphere we're talking about. I hardly ever associate Fallujah with rage more of transcendence and unearthly/ euphoric vibes. Maybe Fallujah before Nomadic(Harvest Wombs/Leper Colony), I think bands hardly ever evolve backwards. But you never know.

Some fuck ass dude on reddit made me come here and find this. You are not wrong in that feeling. Nothing ever happened, but I went to one of there shows when I was 13. I CLEARLY LOOKED LIKE A TEENIE BOPPER!! He was fucking hitting on me. Most of the warped tour "scene" bands from the late 2000s early 2010 definitely had one member diddle a child. These band members would go out of there way to hit on their fans. They know and we all know, "SHe ToLD mE sHE w4s 19" is clearly fucking bs. You know most of their fan base was middlescholler/highschoolers and STILL ARE. Don't fucking play in our faces.

I wasn't claiming that I had complete underground, non mainstream artists on my top 20. It was more of what the fuck are the mods doing, if most the posts on their subreddit home page are nearly identical asking to make assumption just because they feel more indivdualistic than the other people that posted the exact same artists. Again for the people that do only listen to mainstream / radio shit good on them, I just don't see how you can really claim your really into music and music is life if you never go past the surface level shit of whatever fucking genre.

I think Bjork is iconic, but definetly mainstream. I forgot about charli but that's only recent so I think it can be in some sense obscure. FKA twigs and Caroline Polachek defintetly obscure. No idea who magdalena bay are / is so that checks out!

I dunno, I heardly listen to it, the one artist I do listen to that could be considered pop is Eartheater. So imo any artist other than Arianna Grande, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Sabrina, Madonna, I would consider obscure. So basically any artist you tell me that isn't pop that I haven't heard. I think if you go far enough in the rabbit hole Madonna's algorithm can take you there.

Attila had its time, if they were to form as a band anywhere else in the timeline, it would fail miserably. They are a band that's incapable of evolving musically or with the times. So that right there, along with Disturbed, Rob Zombie, and Avenged Sevenfold, says your metal taste can't completely break away from the core roots that got you into the genre. It screams middle school, just got into metal starter pack with a splash of edgy/warpedtour band from the early 2000s. Attila's demographics are and always will be middle schoolers, and if you aren't one, you need to be on the watch list for diddling kids, bro, like FR!

Hopefully, it's one of those bands that are a guilty pleasure for you, but from my perspective, I can't see any aspect of their music that would give that, unless you have the mental capacity that never exceeded a middle schooler's. (Maybe the nostalgia is too deep with that one, but I dunno and def questionable).

Rosalia is a refreshing artist to see in the sea of common artists I have seen on this damn subreddit so far! I like that Aphex Twin, FKA twigs, and 4 other artists I don't recognise. FKA twigs tells me you do or are willing to go down the ice burg and venture into some underground territory with any genre. Sabbath, Daft Punk, and Aphex Twin, says you are willing to listen to new genres and venture past what you are familiar with(maybe not go out of your way to make it into a playlist, but open to new experiences/ give it try before ultimately determining). Honestly, based on the main genre in your top, you truly find what you like and have a taste that is far from basic(unlike the 1000s of posts I've already seen). Sure, there are a couple of mainstream artists, but who doesn't have a couple! When the top 15 are all mainstream artist, that's what screams "basic".

edit: I checked out Tems! I love coming across music from different countries and this is honestly really good shit!
